Bought this with the intention to use with linux and improve in-game ping. It does not work out of the box with the current linux kernels, but drivers can be installed painlessly. The chipset is a realtek rtl8811au for anyone wondering and I suggest the rtl88xxau aircrack package to make it work.

I got new PC for my partner as she started to work from home. But unfortunately connecting it with a network cable caused a lot of inconveniences such as the PC was set far away from the modem.
The instruction was easy to understand so I installed driver and the plugged in the adapter. In a few seconds I hooked up the computer with 5Ghz internet.
Using the adaptor heavily for a couple of weeks, the connection is very stable and superfast. The device has met our expectations.

Scary when first plugged in, as it took awhile for the drivers to be installed onto my machine. You get what you see in the picture.

Most of the item is made from plastic apart from the USB. The adapter can get hot, so if you plan on using this for a laptop. Position it so it isn't up your grill

No connectivity issues, however if you like your internet to connect instantly (for some bizarre reason I thought of) not what your looking for.

Can suprisingly also be used for your phone.

Works great now after 20mins of attempts to diagnose issue.
The adapter will disable immediately upon connecting with my wifi in my usb 3.0 ports (big red X over connections and cannot find any wifi afterwards :( ) but works with usb 2.0 ports.
Bit bulky width wise had to unplug usb port directly below as it conflicts with space on motherboard (for my desktop)
