I had high hopes for this product after loving my hairagami back in the day. This is not the same.
I have thick, curly hair that extends past my shoulders. It will not hold it all. I have better luck if it’s wet but if it’s dry pieces poke out everywhere.
It doesn’t want to bend or bends when it’s not supposed to. I decided it was more effort to send back and just kept it for a sloppy look at home. After one or two uses, the covering starting coming off and now part won’t lay flat. My old one lasted years and held much longer lengths of hair.
If you have very thick or curly hair, save your money. That being said, the pandemic has limited options for outside of the home haircare. I may just keep ordering these until I can get a haircut. It’s so hot out and just having it up without a clip is nice.
It has taken me a little while to figure this out and get a routine down, but it holds well when done properly. I have a long, thick curly hair so I can only manage a super neat bun when my hair is wet, otherwise I get a sort of messy look, which isn't bad.
I have to wear my hair in a bun a work. I've tried the donut in the past but i didn't like how much hair I had wrap around or the number of Bobbie pins I had to use to secure it. I love this bun maker though! I had to practice a few times but after I found the right length to pull it down to before twisting up, it is super easy! It only takes me a few minutes and I only use 2-3 Bobbie pins to secure the bun at the top. It stays in place all day and looks very professional.
I love the bun that I get from using the snap roll, but I despise taking it out. My hair is fairly long and it gets stuck terribly every single time I try to roll the snap out. 5 minutes of detangling my hair out of the thing is worth the bun that I can wear all day, and it holds, so I'd say that it is worth it.
