I have an older car and I found that in the winter my trunk would get stuck. I looked around and found my rubber seals were now dryer/hard. I searched online for a product that would restore elasticity so that I would not have to replace my seals. Other products you need to spray and can cause a mess but this has an easy to use applicator. Since using it I have found my seals are not as dry as they were. I would recommend this for people who want to increase longevity in their seals or to help restore the seals in their car.
I can’t comment on long term durability yet. However I’m several months into using this product and it’s doing its job perfectly. My application was for rubber ‘gasket’ on steel ammunition storage box. So I NEED a tight seal. My proof that it’s working - I have the humidity packets in the boxes, they are still 100% white - meaning no humidity is getting inside. Only complaint, if I could even call it that, I wish they had different ‘ends’ to apply the product. I would have much easier time with a narrower application tip. Other than that, very satisfied!
Seems to work. I used it on the weatherstripping around my car doors and it seems to lower the wind noise. One caveat - clean your weatherstripping with soap and water before you apply this. A good cleaning, especially at the bottom of the doors, will give you the best results. Apply this a couple of times per door and cover every inch of the weatherstripping. Even the hard to reach places.
I had squeaks in the car's passenger compartment that were difficult to pin down. Researching online led me to a possible culprit being the T top rubber seals. I decided to clean the seals and apply the 303 sealer in hopes of reducing the squeaking. I cleaned the seals thoroughly with Windex and applied three coats of the 303, separated by about 20 minutes to let the previous coat dry. I installed the top and apprehensively drove the car down a known rattle and squeak producing road.... SILENCE... glorious SILENCE.... About three months after applying the 303 a squeak surfaced. Repeating the 303 treatment silenced the gremlin
Pretty good for the price! My 1994 supra had some ugly old looking hard as rock rubber seals and it made it look better than before. Still hard like a rock, but mainly got it to condition my door seals since theyre good still. Im gonna buy another one for future reuses. 1 bottle can do like 3-4 cars, depending on size.
I took a gamble and thought I'd try this instead of the spray bottles, to save the use of a microfiber. It does work well, but the sponge gets dirty, so you sort of spread the gunk around all your trim during application. Would echo others and say just to get the spray bottle of 303.
This seems like a decent product to use to protect automotive rubber weather stripping, but I think it is priced a little too high. The applicator bottle is acceptable, and will help minimize waste. The finish seems to hold up for a couple of Months, but does not seem very long lasting. I will continue to research like products and may try one or two others to see how they compare. Yes, it does work, but I question the price and durability of the finish. Would like to find something that seems to last longer.
Great product . The bottle has great applicator tip that works applies treatment well. No waste. Made my rubber moldings around 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ doors, windows, windshield look real nice. Is not greasy or to glossy. It leaves a nice supple original sheen.
