Overall the reputation of 8bitdo products are well praised and I can attest that the build quality is top notch. The only issue that seems to be common is the D-pad.
When pressing left or right there is a tendency for down to be pressed at the same time and depending on the game youre playing this may or may not be an issue. Platformers may be your biggest issue with this defect, as I had found with Mario Maker 2 on the switch, where accidently down presses can cause your character to let go of vines, hooks and cause gameovers.
I can't say anything about the new SN30pro+ controllers but if D-pad input is important to you then stay away from this for now.
