The P300 Neo maintains the blockbuster brightness of its precursor P300, while reducing size and weight by more than 40%. The P300 Neo is an ultra-compact projector measuring just 5.4" x 3.4" x 1.18" which is about the size of two smartphones stacked together. The P300 Neo houses a revised DLP optical engine that delivers 420 LED Lumens of brightness at a native resolution of 1280x720. Battery only lasts about 40 minutes but it is a low power device. Sound quality is a bit poor but it has an audio out socket so no problem. Image is bright and clear.

Decent reasonably priced HD projector

I have bought it after my AAXA P300 (previous generation) died - got an issue with the "optical engine" that seems to be impractical to repair. Still, not complaining too much as that projector lasted over 4 years. P300 Neo was on sale so I have decided to give it a try. No regrets, it produces pretty decent 1280x720 image, actually it is 16:9 unlike P300 so it is more suitable for the movies. Decent brightness for my situation - I only use it in the dark room so the standard brightness is sufficient. I find the image a bit more "pixelized" than with original P300, although the difference is only 80 pixels. Normally you do not see it unless you concentrate on a small static fragment of the image. Or unless you see the text on the screen. The embedded UI looks really horrible, I can't imagine why AAXA used such an ugly font without any smoothing/antialiasing. It looks like old CGA display ;) But it does not matter because there is nothing to do in this UI anyway. Another good point is that the fan is quiet. Original P300 was like an airplane since the beginning and got louder with the time. Focus control is very smooth and I do not see too much difference between the "cold" and "warm" state of the projector - with the original P300 you had to set the focus when the projector warms up and resist the temptation to readjust it when it is cold. So, overall, for the sale price I think it is a very good portable TV :)

At first I thought this projector would be unwatchable in brighter than normal lighting for projection. In fact with room lights on at a comfortable level it is quite watchable, but only for smaller screen sizes. This projector isn't meant for larger venues but for small presentations and fun and games for the kids. It does tend to make a loud fan noise when on it's brightest setting so take note if your presentation requires it to be noise free. The focus wheel needs to be much more robust and tighter my unit tends to go out of focus when it gets bumped. All in all for this price point it is a great buy but in this day and age you would think it'd be 1080p since those are common place now.

I am overall very happy with my purchase, I found the picture to be bright and clear for my Nintendo Switch and cable box. I put a movie onto a USB stick and it recognises it and plays it, but there is no sound coming from the projector (sound works on my computer though). This could possibly be a file format/codec issue and I haven't experimented enough to fault the projector for this.. Sound works perfect on switch/cable box, but the on-board speaker isn't that great. I took 1 star off for that & because my remote never worked out of the box.

I was surprised how bright it was for such a small unit. I take it camping as well as using it for ad-hoc work meetings in rooms where a projector isn't available.
The fan is pretty quiet, and any noise is easily drowned out by a Bluetooth speaker.
Playing a movie directly from my iphone is a fantastic improvement over my previous setup.
It suits my needs perfectly!
