About this item

  • COOLER THAN OTHER AIO WATER COOLERS: The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II has a more efficient cool plate, pump and radiator that makes a difference among other AIO water pc fan coolers
  • 15°C LOWER VOLTAGE REGULATOR TEMPERATURE: An additional 40 mm VRM fan (PWM controlled) next to pump can provide extra cooling for the base and voltage transformer
  • INTEGRATED CABLE MANAGEMENT: The PWM-cable of the fans are integrated into the sleeved tubing. Thus there is only one short cable visible from the pump to motherboard replacing the usual cable mess
  • 80% LESS POWER CONSUMPTION: Unlike most pumps from our competitors, which run at full load even when idle, our pump clocks down consuming less power and producing less noise If no cooling is needed
  • MAINTENANCE-FREE WATER LOOP: The water loop is sealed and with high quality fiber-reinforce EPDM tubing you do not have to worry about refilling

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Liquid Cooler on the Market
By Haohan on 6 February 2021
My lord, this cooler has beaten my expectations. Temps are spectacular. Overclocked i9-10900k @ 5.2GHz stable at 68C running AIDA64.

Buyer beware however. This thing is huge. The only case (I've found) that can handle this unit in push pull on top is the Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL (Or Define 7 XL, same chassis). See photos to get a sense of how big it is.

With so much surface area, fans can be adjusted to super quiet fan curves and still keep the CPU nice and chilly. Ideal for big systems with a focus on silence.

If you have a case that can handle this beast, then it'll beat any other cooler on the market in both performance and value.

5.0 out of 5 stars The one to get! Have a Pump_Fan header? Read on

TL:DR
If you're case is big enough to hold this cartoonishly huge cooler then don't hesitate! No colorful bells and whistles all function. I'm really digging the VRM fan. Only complaint is the hoses are a smidgen short if your case is long, which makes it tough to install them from the bottom up. However, the radiator is so tall that installing with the hoses up will put it above the pump anyway. Otherwise, price per quality per performance, I could not be happier. No bells and whistles and all function. Paired with a 5800x (a notoriously hot chip) and Phanteks p500a high airflow case. Idle temps are 23C. Unbelievable.

TIPS: Depending on the make of your motherboard, you may have a designated "Pump_Fan" header. If you do, this is where you want to plug this in as the power supply is higher and constant. While it will work just fine plugged into the "CPU_Fan" header, it will then be dependent upon the CPU temp to receive power and the pump will ramp up and down accordingly. On my system (MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi) this caused a lot of gurgling as the liquid settled then remixed over and over. The IMPORTANT thing to remember is that you still need something plugged into the CPU_Fan or the system may not load. Any fan should work. In a P500a there is a enough space on the front to do a push-push with the fans; tricky to get everything in place (radiator has to go into the case first) but fits satisfyingly snug! I have the CPU_Fans on the front pulling in and the radiator fans pushing into the case. NOTE: on this radiator the fans are hardwired to the radiator. Some AIO's they are not and can be daisy chained either onto a Sys_Fan or onto the CPU_Fan (or CPU_Opt) if using a Pump_Fan header. SAVE yourself so much darn headache, electricity, and fan durability by enabling SMART FAN MODE in the bios for the pump fan header (and the other fans as well). Otherwise the fans on the radiator will run 100% all the time. Just use the radiator built in daisy chain and don't get any wild ideas about running them on a separate daisy chain to a fan header. Just don't.

Following this results in a pump receiving proper power (better liquid circulation), radiator fans responding to the temp of the liquid, CPU fans responding to the temp of the CPU (which is nearly 1:1 with the liquid temp so all 6 fans on my radiator are at the same rpm), being able to run the CPU at FULL PBO BOOST without having to enable eco-mode all the while keeping the fan noise and unnecessary power consumption at minimum.

Truly a thing of beauty. I hope this helps someone out there as this specific setup isn't described in-depth in too many places.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty much awesome-except the price.

This cooler was $150 at launch. At the time of my purchase-it was $220. That’s absurd. Now, I think the cooler is *probably* worth that price, but the markup sucks lol. Unfortunately Amazon at $220 was the cheapest I could find.

I mounted this cooler in the front of my Fractal Meshify 2 XL with push/pull fans (all Arctic P14 PWM PST fans), and it’s awesome. My overclocked 5600x doesn’t get above 50c in normal usage. I know it’s overkill for a 5600x, but I wanted plenty of capacity for higher overclocks and this has no issue keeping up.

Would recommend-especially if you can find it for MSRP.

Let me say my 5950x finally met a good cooler. Just upgraded from a 150i pro from Corsair. And boy it’s good. This 420 AIO is beyond amazing. Check the pictures. Manual is animated. Yes animated. The temps are super low. Cinebench with my 5950x hits 78c max with 350ppt 250 250, 1.275v. Games stay at 57c to 60c while hitting 4.7ghz on all cores. I’m super impressed. If you case fits this monster. Get it! Precious temps on 360mm AIO from Corsair hit 84c.
