The above review from 'A CUSTOMER' relates to the Mozart arias on Erato NOT Decca which are really excerpts from her complete opera recordings. The Decca recording IS really excellent in every respect and anyone that enjoyed the various other discs (the two Rossini, Gluck, Vivaldi, Salieri etc.,.) should not hesitate to acquire it. The arias are mainly from the more popular operas and some concert arias which can be sung by a high mezzo soprano. One can hear the fun and teasing in the Zerlina arias which suit the coquettish character. However, my absolute favourite is her wonderful treatment of Vitellia's 'Non piu di fiori' from La Clemenza di Tito, a role she hasn't undertook on stage as yet but which she has all the requirements for including the solid chest register.
BUT .....avoid the Erato disc, not for Bartoli's fine singing which is top drawer, but for the poor recording quality.
