You don't need literally ANYTHING else for 1080p 60! Literally!

I live this card!!! It's better in fine detail in 1080p than the Elgato HD60 and the price and just literally everything!

The only caviat is that if you want to use your camera as a capture device you'll have to download their software, as soon as you have and made two clicks on your mouse it just works!!!!

No need to look at the software again if you're using OBS etc.

Excellent card, better than elagsto's offering and far more functionality than CamLink!!

By far the right choice in every respect!

Annoying!!!!

This is quite an annoying product - whilst it has great sound when your mouth is directly over it, you literally have to be right on it for the other person to hear. I bought this together with the Avermedia 2+ and its been a nightmare to get it all working. I ended up giving up and selling the microphone and the capture card and getting another brand!

Amazing quality / Awful installation process

The installation instructions are garbage for the software. the hardware side is very easy and kinda obvious, but when you try to find the drivers for this thing or realize they use codenames and numbers instead of the actual product title for their website directory and most of it is in Chinese... then yeah, it was a nightmare.
Once it was set up though, after watching a guide on youtube, it was glorious and will provide me with the perfect way to capture footage from things like my Nintendo switch or even with another few bits some older console stuff too.
Can't fault the technology, just the terrible support page, and documentation. A five-year-old could design a site better.

Vengo de una Avermedia Game Capture HD II la cual se me hace el mejor producto, el problema es que no soporta resoluciones mas altas que 1080p. Al actualizar el monitor de mi pc por un ultrawide (3840x1080) me vi en la necesidad de cambiar mi vieja capturada, viendo que esta soportaba 4k imagine que soportaría otras combinaciones de resolución (grave error).

Como tal lo soporta pero lo escala a 4k agregando frames negros en la parte inferior y superior, lo peor que empieza a grabar así, osea re-codifica a 1080p pero con los frames negros.

En cuanto autonomía es muy subjetivo, para grabar bien necesitas un tarjeta microsd de por lo menos 256GB para no tener que estar cada rato sacando los videos y que la microsd sea una de alta velocidad (por lo menos una U3). Por lo que es mejor a conectar al PC.

Es ahí donde viene otro problema, si juegos directo desde recentral hay un pequeño lag aveces notorio (no entiendo porque no usaron usb 3 por lo menos), el cual te hace ir mejor a la pantalla donde esta.

En fin, no es malo, pero siento que le hace falta, para ser un producto como la Avermedia Game Capture HD II que es muy completo

I purchased this system for recording and archiving. Unfortunately, all sound in my system is Dolby based with no option of changing it so I do not get any sound recorded. If I plug directly into my TV, I get stereo sound but that is awful. There should be a big warning that this won't record Dolby sound.

I have tried to convert my sources to other than Dolby but the option only exists for the optical channels which is not an option.

The Micro USB card is also awkward to remove. I have launched one a couple of metres and spent an hour searching for it.

I may change my review if I can find a way of recording full surround sound.

Does Not Work for Dual PC Setup

I was searching for an external capture card option for my dual pc streaming setup (one pc gaming, one pc streaming a mirrored "monitor" from the gaming pc). Discussing with both the Amazon customer service and the Avermedia support confirmed this is designed for camera and/or console signal sent to a streaming PC. Could work around it with a number of hdmi splitters but i have enough wires and this just makes it confusing.
I gave 3 stars because nothing was wrong with the device but it was unclear at purchase that it would not work as other popular devices. It looked nice enough, seemed sturdy. If I was a console gamer I would use it.

Il n'y a malheureusement que 3 réglages différents de qualité pour utiliser l'encodage hardware sur la carte SD (et les fichiers sont trop lourds pour moi). Sinon faut utiliser le logiciel fournie ReCentral3 qui est trop limité pour être exploité correctement. J'ai eu de gros problème de plantage, et le son se transformait en quelques sortes en voix de robot!! Y'avait un bug quelque part et on le constatait après l'enregistrement!! Super!!! .
La mise à jour ReCentral4 n'est pas possible. C'est un peu des outils kleenex qui deviennent vite obsolètes et plus supportés. J'utilise actuellement OBS pour le faire fonctionner et ça marche mais je ne profite donc plus de l'encodage hardware. C'est le PC qui fait l'encodage dans la limite de la puissance du CPU.

the bad, it took over 2 hours trying to get OBS to finally get audio from it, after about 3 hours of streaming, the picture and audio starts to desync, unfortunately will be returning this
