I have a macbook pro and it was very annoying when trying to connect anything to it since it only has 4 USBC slots. The Omars dock solves this issue.

Using it is as simple as plugging the dock into your laptop via USB C then you have access to everything you need including. 3 USB ports, LAN, VGA, USBC, HDMI, MicroSD, headphone jack and more!
Now all I need to do wen traveling is carry this and my laptop and charger!

Having just received this, it seems to be working well. I was surprised by how light it is, yet doesn't feel flimsy. Currently plugged in a mouse, USB and VGA display. They're all working well.
I briefly tried the headphone jack and it wasn't working; I suspect it's something in my preferences, but don't need it since I have a computer headphone jack (on a new MacBook Air, two USB-C ports and one headphone jack). It was making the slightly static-y noises that suggested it was connected, but came out through computer speakers anyway. Personally, though, I don't need the headphone jack. (Edit: played with settings and it worked.)
It was easy to connect; I just plugged it in and then plugged in what I needed. Currently, it's slightly warm to the touch, but not as warm as I expected. (Edit: after using it for a while, sitting on a desk beside me, it became *quite* hot.)
I gave it four stars rather than five overall simply because I only just received it; I'll aim to update this (if I can - I've never left an Amazon review before) in a few months to see what its longevity is like.
I haven't tested: one USB port, LAN, 4SD, TF, HDMI, and USB-C.
Anyway, so far so good! Came on the date specified.

It’s powerful enough to leave at your desk full-time as a docking station but small enough to slip in your laptop bag and use on the go.

Omars Type-C Hub uses modern design making it the perfect fit for Apple product line. The curved single piece of aluminium weighs less than 100g, is cold to the touch and shows quality.

Space Gray color merged with the silver highlight on the Type-C connector looks great. The cable is sturdy and reinforced on both ends.

Smooth surface perfected on this where there are no rough parts or build quality defects on this USB-C hub. The ports are cut straight into single aluminium piece, and are nicely spaced leaving enough room for multi-port use except for old school usb thumb drives if you use 3 at the same time that has big bulky body.

Provides all the basics such as USB Type-C PD power passthrough, 3x USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader. The passthrough is rated at 60w letting you also charge other devices via the 3x USB ports as well as your laptop.

The video output got full sized HDMI input (4K @ 30Hz) female connector as well as a 1080P VGA connector. The VGA is great to have for many users, as it is very rare to see on modern hubs nowadays that also has a Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port and a 3.5mm headphone jack audio input.

I have ran my usual test before I fully commit it to setup on my actual station and here are my findings:

Pros:
- It does work flawlessly with, MacBook Pros, HP Elite series and DELL Workstations and Asus ROG gaming laptops, I have tested through in these models for following specs.
- True 4K support with 4K grade HDMI cable, excellent gaming experience through the hub and no downside.
- Thunderbolt compatible.
- Audio jack is a nice touch to have, so can connect multiple headphones for supported systems.
- USB 3.0 ports do support full 5gbps, excellent data speed ratings.
- Can charge through pretty much every port on this hub.
- USB C for additinal charging option is great, you can hook up whatever USB-C cable to charge your devices while other ports are occupied.
- It doesn't get hot or overheat while all the ports occupied for multiple hours. (i have ran some heavy data transfers, while using 4K gaming and charging on two different ports for two devices for 12+hrs, stays cool enough and does not over heat!) Because it is all made out of aluminum!!!
- Steady connection, did not experience any disconnection or any other issues when in multi use at the same time.
- I was actually add 4th monitor to my ASUS ROG through serial/VGA port on this hub, had an old school early 21 century LCD, did work fine.
- Ethernet port is also great addition as many laptops have ethernet ports already on but if you have one of those small tablets where WI-FI is the only option, this could be your saver. Good addition to use your wired network through USB-C/thunderbolt port on your machine with this USB-C hub.
- Sturdy reinforced connection cable!
- Sleek design, made out of Aluminum!
- Affordable price for what is does!
- Multiple option for multiple use.
- Well made with quality material, does not feel cheap.
- Excellent user's manual included in the package.

Cons:
- It would have been better if USB 3.0 ports had wider space in between, so it would be better to connect 3 USB memory thumb drives at the same time, depending on what you have, may not fit 3 at the same time. but definitely not a deal breaker.

I needed an additional HDMI port for a dual monitor setup on my MSI Laptop. I have worked with a few different USB based display adapter brands / devices in the past but decided to give Omars a shot since it had 10 in 1 functionality all from one USB C port.

I was pleased with how easy it was to get up and running. It was Plug and Play and I had my 2nd monitor up and running 2 minutes after opening the box. The device features several additional USB ports which also comes in handy. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and there has not been any video clarity issues or glitches.

So far I love this product! It’s been awesome to extend my laptop monitor to another monitor using the HDMI cable. It makes working from home much better! I’ve also used the LAN connection to provide a more stable connection in a room on the far end of my home. WiFi reaches that room but is slower (2.4GHz network compared to 5GHz in the main areas), so this LAN connection definitely makes downloading larger attachments in email much faster. I’ve used up to 4 ports at once so far (HDMI, LAN, and 2 USBs) and had no problems. If something changes after some longer term use, I’ll update the review. So far, no regrets!

Works Great... Once You Configure It

This product is actually a lifesaver for my Lenovo Yogabook C930, which only comes with 2 USB C ports. The pass through charging is brilliant. MOSTLY everything works quite brilliantly. There's still one problem I can't seem to overcome.

As a note to those that are purchasing, there are some weird configuration things you have to do if you use Ubuntu (or some other flavor of Linux). Since I dual boot Windows and Ubuntu, I encountered some missing driver support on my Linux partition. The Ethernet card in this device is a Realtek card and those are known to have a few issues on Linux systems. If you don't do the following steps, you may find that the Ethernet part of the hub will work on startup but it won't be plug and play. If you unplug, it will not redetect it. You'll have to install the r8152 driver and add it to the Linux kernel with modprobe.

Finally, there seems to be an issue with getting the USB C port on the hub to do display. Whenever connected to the hub, it says it is a "slow charger," which is obviously not the case. It's not a charger, it's a display. My computer supports display through USB C as I've plugged it into both the USB C ports without the hub before and it's worked fine. I'm not sure what might be causing this. If this problem is fixed, this hub would become perfect and I will change my review to 5 stars. The small bit of configuration can be forgiven for the most part.

The first thing I noticed when I took this product out of its box was the solid metal casing, you can tell this felt like a quality product. It has 6 USB ports: with 2 regular USB 2 high speed USB and 2 USB-C (one of which is used as the power source). The beauty about this product is that it clears up so much wire clutter because the only connection going to the computer is one USB-C cable! I was at first disappointed at the notion of these new macbooks doing away with the old USBs and only have 2 USB-C ports but now I'm totally sold on the concept when you have accessories like the this USB hub. Also, I was initially hesitate on this product because I was looking for a USB-C hub that directly attached to the side of the macbrook, extending the base of the laptop. But I am so glad I got this instead because the wired connection to the laptop allows me to place the hub behind my laptop and free up the clutter from interfering with my workspace.

It delievers full speed and power to all the connections. I am able to use multiple connections simultaneously without any interruptions or problems. Some of the USB hubs out there has port connections that didn't make sense for me. I chose this one because not only does it have the essential USB ports that are needed but also two HDMI ports! Delievers 4K resolution to my monitors beautifully. It also has SD and microSD slot reader, which I haven't needed to use but I can see its utility in transferring photo data from cameras. As far as installation, it was a non issue- simply plug and play.

In summary, I am overall very pleased with this product and rating it 5 stars due to its quality, speed, and the superior port options it has. In my view the only way this product can be improved is if the USB-c connection to the computer could be a tad bit longer to have more freedom of placing the hub further away. Happy customer signing out.
