Great for hiding and organizing cables and works as advertised in that regard, though the smaller models are a bit difficult to open up and fit over the cable. Make sure you buy the right protector diameter for your cables.
Not great at all when protecting against cats. My kitten loves the texture and it does not deter her from going after the cable. This morning I found one of these 'cable protectors' mostly pulled off of the actual cables by the cat overnight.
We bought this item because our 19 lb, 18 month old Cockapoo loves to chew on all sorts of wires. We cut a 2' section of Alex Tech 10ft - 1/2 inch Cord Protector & installed it around a lamp cord that he has chewed before but now with a new cord installed. I'm sorry to report our dog was able to unravel about half of the protector within an hour. Fortunately, he didn't chew on the cord but he could have! To be clear, he didn't chew through the protector but was able to unravel it. We added wire ties to secure the protector & prevent unraveling in the future. Three stars.
This stuff is exactly what I needed to cover some, multi colored wires in my gaming PC. I used it in several places to help match the texture of some of the other cables. These are durable and sleeve is as expected, good, and curls tightly. the problem I have with them is it’s too short, and wouldn’t do for the purpose I was hoping to use it for. I can only wrapped 3 cords, I was hoping for more for the price of it. Perhaps it was just me, but I found it very difficult to install. You had to split the wrap, and get the cord in while wrestling with the wrap that constantly wanted to curl and close on everything but around the cord. I never did get that hang of it and every inch I had to work for.
Pets are still biting it even though it states pets don’t like texture and will not but. Seems to be holding cord from being bitten but bite marks are still going through just a tad bit. Would recommend buying two and double layering it if you have pets that just won’t stop trying to chew the cords when your not around
Finicky getting the wires in there. Better be wires you will never touch again or you may rip them out in frustration. I guess this works and I needed a cover but they could have been easier. Don't know if any others sold out there are any better so....
