The product arrived on time and I immediately installed it on the cord of our window air conditioner, completely covering the cord. The protection lasted for all of seven minutes while i was in the shower. By the time I came out my English Setter had grabbed the edge of the cable sleeve and stripped it down about a foot and chewed through the air conditioning cord. Thankfully she was unharmed but I was disappointed and left sweating it out in 90 degree heat. In the end I had to replace the power cord and before I did I slid a piece of heavy duty conduit from the hardware store over the cord as I installed it. If you have a committed chewer I would recommend going that route.
The product was easy to install and easy to use but minimally effective.
This I believe was the largest diameter size at half an inch. I has trouble holding onto a PC power cord, the monitor cord, internet, keyboard, speakers, and mouse cords. When a cord needs to be out of the sleeve at a different location than the others it then allows that cord to keep falling out of the sleeve. Also, when you need to cut the sleeve to shorter lengths, the ends fray. Not something I would recommend.
When I wasn’t using the connection and I wanted to put the cord away, i would roll it up and because it was in the protector it would make the cord in the inside twist. I felt it was safer and easier to handle the connection out of the protector.
Although the product holds the wires it does not stop the cat from chewing on it like it says my cat actually chews on it more now. So I’ll give it some stars for doing what it supposed to do holding the wires but it doesn’t look nice and the cat still scratches on it and chews it
