I bought a classic 120 GB iPod from COOL-TEE that was listed as being new, but which had clearly been refurbished. It stopped working after a few months. When I contacted COOL-TEE, the guy responded angrily and told me I was lucky it had worked for as long as it did. Ouch! Best to steer clear of these guys - unless you want to end up like me: With bruised feelings, a much lighter wallet, and in the position of looking for a new iPod. These guys are charlatans.

Before I got my first iPod (a 20GB model) I could never see a use for the device.

Hey, I had a Sony Walkman and carrying your music around wasn't as much fun as you might have guessed. Then zap! First a 20, then a 60, then a 120, and a 160!! I could carry Benny Goodman, Def Leppard, the Hollyridge Strings, and every science fiction movie soundtrack I wanted – all at the same time!!!!

I bought this used iPod Classic 120GB through Amazon after me own beloved 120GB expired. Sigh.It was my go-to lawn mowing and snow blowing work device.

I even took it to a shop that repaired iPods and they said it was a critical board failure and they could not find a matching board for my model (since all these parts are salvage, I can understand that). I was prepared to spend about $150 plus labor to repair mine, so I started searching eBay and Amazon for a used model.

Found this one from a seller with a 98% favorable rating and took a chance. Had it in no time thanks to it being shipped from Amazon.

I'd call the external condition very good. The prior owner didn't keep it in a case, but the scratches and marks just showed it was used, not abused.

The only interesting things were that there was still data on the device and it asked if I wanted to sync with either the seller or prior owners music (Answer: Nope), I changed the device's name and promptly loaded 80GB of audio and video on it. So far, no quirks, skips, surprise quits, or multiple re-starts. Battery life seems good as well. So I'm ready for any snowfall the winter still has in it!

Buyer Beware

This iPod is too thick to be the 6th generation compared to my old one. The previous owner information was still on the device. When I attempted to down load songs, the device would give the songs long digits titles instead of the actual song name, plus the device would not allow all of music to download. It just sitting in the case I brought for it useless and I'm out of the cost $$$ of this worthless piece crap.

Don't Buy from JRG

Worked fine for a year. Then, one day my iPod was not recognized by iTunes, although the computer detected it. Not only could I no longer download or edit anything on my iPod but it also started to skip items that had previously been downloaded. I contacted the seller, JRG, and they never responded. I waited a week for a response, although Amazon states that customers should receive a response within two business days. All I can say is don't deal with JRG.
