Product description

Add WiFi to your devices with the Arduino Uno WiFi. It's basically an Arduino Uno with more kick: It comes with an 8-bit microprocessor from Microchip, and an onboard IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). The WiFi connection is made secure with the new ECC608 crypto chip accelerator. The Wi-Fi Module is a self-contained SoC with integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that can provide access to a Wi-Fi network, or act as an access point.

WiFi connection to the internal network and to web sites works well once you work through the setup. Use WiFiNINA.h. Use the full setup: WiFi.config(ip, dns, gateway, subnet); Make sure you update the board firmware to the latest version. The existing examples are not complete and many libraries are incompatible.

LiquidCrystal_I2C-1.1.2 warns about possible incompatibility but seems to work with 1602 LCD displays.

Warning! The board provided by Amazon in Nov 2019 (and all of them from this batch have a manufacturing assembly error where a resistor was substituted for a cap in the RTC circuit. The RTC will not function until this is corrected. Search "wifi rev 2 rtc error" for more information. I was able to use a larger 20pF cap I had on hand by scraping solder mask off the ground plane for a connection. See photo.
