For some reason the motion sensor also doesn’t seem as good as the Pro. I put the two cameras side by side and the Pro picked up the motion much quicker and more accurately than the Ultra 2. Would have thought it would be the other way around.
Overall - it’s fine as general security camera and particularly during the day where the footage looks crisp on a mobile device. At night it does a pretty good job of showing you the general area with night vision. However, if you find yourself needing more than a general view and want or need the detail of faces, cars or number plates - it’s disappointing.
Not very hard to install. Can consider after-market gutter mounts and solar panels for charging (work well and cheaper than Arlo brand).
Sector motion detection is good but at night, reflected headlights often trigger it.
Needs a subscription to get the most out of it and this is a bit pricey also, although you can get basic functionality without it.

Only main draw back for me is the siren on the Ultra. It is a different chime/sound to the Pro 4, to which the Pro 4 is far louder and sounds more like a proper siren/alarm being quite high pitch.
The ultra’s siren is seriously crap in comparison.
See video for comparison.
FYI video doorbell siren is good like the ultra 4 same sound.
I would definitely recommend Arlo to anyone looking for a bit more security.
