-Adhesive sucks and fell off my TV twice before I added some 3M scotch tape at each end. It's the weight of the usb cable, in hindsight I should've taped the USB cable to back of tv as well.
-The remote sucks, even by cheap generic standards it's bad. Sometimes the 'Off' button turns the device off, sometimes it just changes colour to green, sometimes it just does nothing. That's basically how every button functions, there's no rythme or reason to it.
-Overall feels flimsy, particularly the 3pin connection point, I was amazed it survived falling off my tv, so it may be stronger than it appears but it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. It's best to set it and forget it.
-There is a (W)hite button on the remote but no dedicated white LEDs like more expensive strips. Technically, white is just equal part all colours so it can produce a white, but it's not very bright.
But having said all that, if plugged into a TV than it turns on/off automatically with TV power so no need to deal with the remote. Again, it was the cheapest I found.
Couple weeks in and still running fine so I purchased another one.
overall i cannot recommend these rgb lights and would suggest you spend a few dollars more.
I've been using it for roughly a week now and the light works exceptionally well.
- Doesn't heat up
- Easy to install
- Easy to change colours
- Sticks well to surface
- Some odd colours
- Changing the intensity of the light is awkward. When you raise or lower the the intensity of the light it also slightly changes colour tone
After all, at this price, what more can you ask?
