A Capable 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable.

The cable arrived in good condition and on time. Thanks, Amazon (Au) and Australia Post.
Cables fitted with 3.5mm jacks are predominately used on portable devices (mobile, MP3 players etc) for quick and easy connections. Generally, these aren't typically HiFi devices (some exceptions are some DAPs and DACs due to their miniaturization making some other connection options - eg RCA - impractical).
This 3.5mm aux cable is rather thick (compared to some others) however, I don't kow if it is only extra padding (would have to damage the cable to ascertain). This is a braided cable, so offers some resistance to breakage and wear and tear. There appears to be little stress relief at the cable ends (don't know if the cable is anchored inside the jacks). The jacks fit sockets well, without any apparent play. Seemingly, quality components have been used in the construction of this cable.
I use the cable to connect a Chord Mojo (portable) DAC to active speakers to allow greater input connections (have downsized my HiFi). For this purpose, the cable (1.5 ft) is more than satisfactory (detailed sound with a widish sound stage). The resolution of my new system is considerable lower, so can't really tell the limitations of this cable.
An acceptable cable for general usage. Whether any 3.5mm aux cable can offer"true" audiophile sound is debatable (my old component connection cables - for one channel - are thicker than this double channel cable.
