Despite being a really good album, the band kinda missed the boat with this live double, had they released it a year../ 18 mths earlier after the ist 2 albums with a better production then it could have done the job for them ,the same way all the 'live' albums mentioned in the liner notes did for the various bands mentioned.
The truth is despite containing 5 star performances from the band ,the production on this is weak, the original vinyl had a average production and the remaster does a valiant job but cant cover up a poor production.
The music however is superb...from 'Stick around for rock n roll' thru to the 20 minute epic that is 'Green Grass and High Tides Forever, the band play their hearts out and despite the production(3 lead guitars and 2 drummers come on !! all lost in the mix) once you get by that, then its still a rewarding listen.
Had this on vinyl, back in the day,the album sleeve said 'Bring it back alive' but the label and spine said 'Bring it home alive LOL. Still despite the audio issues its still a decent listen.
As usual Rock candy do a sterling job with the booklet.
