... and 5th of Beethovens piano concertos are about as good as it gets in terms of classical musicReviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2016
For me the 3rd and 5th of Beethovens piano concertos are about as good as it gets in terms of classical music. For this reason I'm especially picky when it comes to the soloist interpreting these timeless classics. In my humble opinion, which is not borne out of being classically trained but rather a very eager enthusiast, the Zimmerman/Bernstein recordings take a hell of a lot of beating. What I love about this is Zimermans sense of timing and emphasis - he understands the music completely and doesn't try to individualise it at all - in other words he plays it straight and bless him for it. I would die happy listening to this.

ottimo acquistoReviewed in Italy on 17 January 2018

Beethoven KlavierkonzerteReviewed in Germany on 17 April 2021
Wundervolle Aufnahme.
