The latest smart LED technology from Belkin allows you to see your iPhone charge status at a glance. A custom circuit board with proprietary firmware communicates with your iPhone battery and displays a green or amber LED depending on your charge level. The amber light lets you know your iPhone is connected and charging while the green light means you’ve got a full charge. Fast charge an iPhone from 0–50% in 30 minutes* when combined with a PD-enabled USB-C charger. MFi-Certified to meet Apple safety standards for reliable operation with all iOS devices. It’s a cable that keeps looking and performing like new, with an aircraft-grade aluminum overmold and double-braided nylon exterior that can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. Protected by 2-year warranty
*18W USB-PD technology charges iPhone 8 or later from 0–50% in 30 minutes with a USB-C cable with Lightning connector.

When I use a fast charge power adapter or powerbank this cable allows more power safely to charge your device. As is communicates with the device and a light on the cable plug shows progress, green full charge amber is still charging.
Also its a strong flexible woven cable.

The gimmick/feature on this cable is that there is a light that displays charging status. When charging, it shows amber; when fully charged it changes to green; if there is no light you know that the charging isn't working. At first I really thought that this was a stupid feature. Why not just tap on the screen and see if it is charging? Honestly it fixes a problem that I never knew I had, a problem that isn't really a problem. But it is a feature that does have a use. Even as a write this, I just glanced over at my phone which was 5% when I arrived home and I want to juice up before the evening. I see that it is still charging. Even better, yesterday, I observed that the power brick got knocked out of the outlet in the kitchen because there wasn't a light on.
But is this worth extra money for an LED? Probably not. I do wish that there was a third color variation to indicate whether or not fast charging was happening, this could change color if I was plugged into a low-power outlet or once it hits 80% and slows down the charging rate. This would give me more helpful info.
Does it work as advertised? Yes. Would I buy it for extra money? I don't think so? Is there some utility? Yes. And I have only ever had quality products from Belkin combined with good support. So I am confident that this cable will perform well.
Interesting to note: It does not appear to charge my non-iPhone lighting based accessories. When I plug into my AirPods Max, my AirPods Pro, my keyboard, my mouse, or EVEN MY iPAD nothing happens...no LED...no charging...nothing. Only works on my iPhone. This is what took my review from a 5-star down to a 3-star. Some not-really-needed functionality has been added to the cable and some pretty valuable functionality removed.
