I ordered this monitor for office productivity not for design. It works well for my needs. It has more pixels than 1080 and it's not too big. The eyecare features seem to work, I no longer use f.lux on this monitor. The eco sensor light meter is buggy, monitor would turn it off for no reason, so I just disable it. It's not a big issue for me.

The 1st unit actually arrived with a yellow vertical line. I've never had a monitor DOA before, so I was not very happy. I was about to go back to Eizo but decided to give Benq another go. Good that I did. Amazon AU's customer service made the return and refund process as easy as possible, I would give them 5 stars for service. I was disappointed that Amazon US no longer ships to Australia, but Amazon AU support is so good, I can say I'm happy to shop at Amazon AU.

I am very impressed with my new BenQ 27 inch USB-c monitor. The monitor height and angle are easy to adjust and the monitor can even be tilted Portrait mode. The installation, once I figured out what the cables were for, was very easy. Only one USB-C cable to attach to the monitor docking station and all systems go. As this was the first time I have used an external monitor with my MacBook Pro I had to study the setup but in the end that too was simple. I like it that I can close the macbook so I am not distracted by it's screen whilst using this monitor. I have been struggling a bit with the small screen of the macbook (13 ") because my eyesight is not as great as it used to be and now I love the large screen where I can read everything.

Dead pixel within just couple of months

I got a dead pixel within just a couple of months after buying which considering the price point and the target market is a bit annoying. The base of the monitor mount also had what looks to be a machine/milling error on arrival with a scratch about 2 or 3 cms long. When combined with the dead pixel makes me think these monitors don't have a high level of QA.

I purchased this panel based on overwhelmingly positive online reviews. The display image was glorious, however the DisplayPort input was corrupted. Support was reasonable, taking the unit back to perform a firmware flash, however the same issue persisted. Ultimately I had to return the monitor. Interestingly the HDMI port worked without an issue, but when you spend this much on a monitor you expect it to work flawlessly. From forums I have consulted after the fact this issue seems to be a bit luck of the draw - shame.

I think this product is most likely one of the best monitor suitable for use with the macbook pro with it’s extension dock and USB-C compatibility, the resolution is 2K but it comes with 100% sRGB, I find at a sitting distance of 60cm from the monitor, retina display is useless, so 2K is probably the better choice here.

I think this monitor is best suitable, like it’s designed to be, all designers with macbook pro.

Ich hatte vorher ein 28" 4k Monitor von Samsung. Der war mir einen Tick zu klein und da dieser Monitor nur gut in Tests abschneidet, habe ich zugeschlagen. Heiliger Bimbam, ist der groß! ;-) Nutze ihn unter Windows 10, welches ich auf 125% skalieren lasse: alles ist gut lesbar und man hat wirklich eine Menge Platz.

Ich bin kein großer Schreiberling, deswegen liste ich einfach mal die Vor- und Nachteile auf. Alles natürlich rein subjektiv. ;)

Vorteile:
- Sehr gutes "out of the Box" Bild (Modus Standard oder sRGB)
- Blickwinkelstabil
- SD-Karten Slot (wie ich das liebe, weg mit dem externen Kartenleser *g*)
- Durchdachtes und intuitives Menü
- Mitgeliefert wird der sog. Puck, dessen drei Tasten man frei belegen kann (perfekt, falls man mehrere PCs angeschlossen hat)
- Drei der Tasten an der Front des Gerätes können ebenfalls frei belegt werden
- Unterstützt DDC (sehr hilfreich beim Kalibrieren)

Nachteile:
- leichtes, brummendes Betriebsgeräusch, welches in ruhiger Umgebung stört
- Schließt man einen PC per HDMI an, so wird der RGB-Bereich falsch erkannt (16- 255 statt 0 - 255)
- Der Rahmen steht ein Stück weiter vor, als man es gewohnt ist (aber nicht schlimm)

Tipps:
- Stellt man im Menü Audio auf Stumm, verschwindet das Brummen!
- Für HDMI sollte man im Menü den HDMI RGB Bereich von Auto auf 0-255 ändern (falls ein PC angeschlossen ist)

Great Versatile Monitor for Sensitive Eyes

First of all I should mention that I'm not a hardcore gamer who needs high refresh rates or all that fancy stuff like g-sync, v-sync, etc. Like most people I mainly use my computer for internet browsing but I also use it for light gaming, watching movies, music composing, image and video editing. Besides I live in a flatshare and we don't have a living room so I needed to find a very versatile monitor that allows me to do all these things without compromising screen size or quality.

I had lasik laser eye surgery done, so my eyes became sensitive and I had to find an eye-friendly monitor having low cd/m2 values at low brightness with TÜV certified low blue light and no flickering matte screen. I tried Dell Ultrasharp monitors but they are mainly designed for bright office environment so those monitors are still too bright at zero brightness level. I also tried Asus and some other BenQ monitors, including expensive BenQ SW2700PT wide gamut monitor, but this one turned out to be the best one for me. If you're mainly designing for digital environment, not for printing, then wide gamut monitor is an overkill for you, you don't need it.

I have a 80cm (2.5ft) deep desk and I look at the monitor from a 3ft distance. The farther the screen the better for your eye health because human eyes are supposed to look at distant things not very near things such as smartphones, computer screeens, books, etc. That's why you get eye strain after reading a book or using your smartphone for a long time. I'm telling these because I was torn between 25" and 27" monitor but if you have a similar desk to mine get 27". You'll never look back. Good news is that if you have a small desk, you can scale your screen by using BenQ screen settings so when you move to a larger place and get a larger desk you can bring the setting back to normal.

Another great thing about this monitor is DisplayPilot software that allows you to switch between different picture modes such as RGB, Standard, Low Blue Light, etc. When I'm not doing colour sensitive design, I use Low Blue Light with maximum setting and I've never had a eye strain or headache so far. I should mention that not every BenQ monitor supports this software, including that expensive SW2700PT monitor that comes with a remote controller. I personally prefer using software rather than fiddling a remote controller to switch between picture modes.

My laptop has an old GeForce 650M graphic card and surprisingly handles 2k resolution very well so far. In some videos I can see banding but that might just be my graphic card pushing its limits so I don't know if it would be the same with a high end graphic card.

Pros:
• Low Blue Light.
• No flicker.
• Matte screen.
• Not too bright at zero brightness.
• No significant backlight bleeding.
• Very useful DisplayPilot software to quickly switch between picture modes. You can also scale your screen as if it's a 25" monitor.
• Matte frame (Glossy frame is distracting and it messes with your brain by causing a false perceived black so not recommended for people doing design).
• No power light in sight (This is an amazing feature, especially when you're watching movies. No distraction!).
• Comes with Technicolor certified colour calibration out of the box.
• There's a small hook to hang your headhphone behind the monitor.

Cons:
• Some visible banding but it might be my graphic card so I'm not sure if that's a common problem or not.
• This is technically not a con but it might be worth mentioning. If you're thinking of connecting a PlayStation, watching 1080p movies, or playing games at 1080p this monitor won't be as sharp as a 1080p monitor. It will be slightly blurry due to scaling but definitely not something very annoying. However, in exchange it will give a crystal clear picture quality during web browsing and designing. Essentially, choose screen resolution considering what you will mainly be doing with a monitor.
• Built-in speakers are not great but I don't think that should be a dealbreaker.

Vengo de trabajar intensivamente con EIZO - CRT (4:3) - 21". Lo que veía en la pantalla, recibía 10 días después de Imprenta. Estamos todos de acuerdo en que NO tiene Precio esa tranquilidad. Pensando así te vas a buscar en EIZO; LACIE; BENQ.... Tu próxima herramienta y seguramente, valen su precio en Fiabilidad / Tranquilidad. Me hice mi estudio de mercado y plan A, B, C.... Dudé meter este monitor en la cesta y acerté TOTALMENTE. Pensando y contando con el servicio de AMAZON de devolución, le dí su oportunidad. Tuve suerte quizás también habiendo leído (Claro está) todos los comentarios negativos en cuanto a pixeles muertos y Fugas de Luz.... El calibrado de fábrica es sobervio. Mantengo muchos trabajos impresos que puse frente al monitor para compararles y ésa para mi, fue la prueba definitiva. Este monitor trabaja con un espectro de color de 10bits y mi tarjeta gráfica también, tenerlo en cuenta para disfrutar de todo el rango.

Llevo 20 días con el monitor trabajando intensivamente de día y de noche. No he probado todos los perfiles durante mucho tiempo cada uno. Los que más: Low Blue Light - Dark Room - Rec. 709 y no tengo mas que alabanzas...

No he instalado el software que viene con el monitor. No lo puedo comentar. Si utilicé el disco para cargar el driver.

Teniendo en cuenta el precio, el próximo plan es un espectrómetro, mas caros y precisos que los calibradores de pantallas. He leido análisis de este monitor en los que recomendaban un pequeño ajuste (escala de grises) que yo en el mío no detecto. Pero podré mantener este calibrado y calibrar los otros que tengo en el escritorio. Cada uno de su progenitor. Este monitor permite añadir perfiles de usuario. Otro plus, aunque de fábrica ya viene, en mi opinión, soberviamente calibrado.

No se si toda esta parrafada tiene algún sentido para alguien. Cuesta ganar el dinero, y tomar esta decición lleva una cantidad de horas de estudio, búsqueda, comparaciones... Modelo elegido: BenQ PD2700Q.

Lo recomiendo sin ningún genero de duda a 20 días de uso (2018/03/25).

Se lo regale a mi mujer por que trabaja en diseño gráfico y aún está alucinando con la calidad de imagen que tiene , ella lo engancha en un mackbook pro que se compro el año pasado y los colores me dice ella que son 100 por 100 reales a cuando va al sitio que suele imprimir los posters que diseña en el Photoshop , ósea que ella contento y yo más , tenerla contenta me hace la vida más fácil 😂😂😂soy un pagafantas lo sé , pero no la coneceis lo maniática que es para esas cosas .en La foto es el de la derecha del todo, subiría un vídeo pero solo me deja subir fotos , para que vierais como se ve la imagen en un vídeo de esos del YouTube poniéndolo en 2k que por cierto para el tamaño de 27 pulgadas no se ven los píxeles ni nada , PERFECTO! En oferta por 280 euros lo compre.

Schöne Farben aber Backlight Bleeding

Für meine Arbeit mit Blender, Gimp und Unity habe ich mir diesen Monitor angeschafft. Generell macht dieser einen wertigen Eindruck und lässt sich ganz nach meinen Bedürfnissen in der Höhe und im Winkel verstellen. Die gute Farbtreue, Größe (28 Zoll) und WQHD Auflösung überzeugen mich durchgehend und machen das Modellieren angenehm. Auch nach längerem Arbeiten werden meine Augen durch das Panel nicht müde. (Ich benutze ihn ca. 8-9 Stunden am Tag)
Den speziellen Modus für CAD habe ich soweit nur kurzzeitig genutzt. Ja man sieht bei 3D-Software die Edges besser und kommt damit im Wireframe Mode besser zu Recht aber das habe ich persönlich soweit nicht gebrachen können.
So toll der Monitor für das Entwickeln von Videospielen auch ist, für das Spielen selbst (zumindest in FPS bzw. Kompetitivspielen) ist die Reaktionszeit nun doch etwas zu hoch. Das ist für ein IPS-Panel selbstverständlich abzusehen und dementsprechend habe ich dies nicht in die Bewertung einfließen lassen.

Bei all dem Lob nun doch ein Makel: Das für IPS-Panel mehr oder weniger typische Backlightbleeding findet sich auch bei diesem Monitor vor allem in der rechten unteren Ecke, aber auch rechts oben. Ganz vermeiden lässt es sich aufgrund der Bauart nicht, doch fällt rechts unten bei dunklen Bilden/ Szenen durchaus auf. Ich habe mich mit Amazon in Verbindung gesetzt, die mich an Benq weitergeleitet haben. Sie meinten dies sei wahrscheinlich Pech bei der Panel-Lotterie gewesen und ich solle doch Ersatz beantragen. Dieser kam schnell (Wie immer großes Danke an Amazon!), wies jedoch die gleichen Probleme, sogar etwas stärker auf. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Ich habe den ersten behalten und nutze ihn nun, da mich die Vorteile über diesen Nachteil hinwegsehen lassen. Ich habe Bilder zur Veranschaulichung dieses Problems angehängt: Diese übertreiben das Backlight Bleeding allerdings, da die Kamera die Helligkeit anders wahrnimmt als das menschliche Auge. Nichtsdestoweniger kann hier erkannt werden, dass das erste Panel ein etwas kleineres aber formtechnisch sehr Backlight Bleeding aufweist. In der Praxis kommt das als eine Art Schimmer zum Tragen, der das Bild an den Ecken etwas aufhellt und den Kontrast in den betroffenen Bereichen verringert. Da ich nicht viel mit dunklen Szenen zu schaffen habe kann ich dies verkraften, aber andere könnte dies selbstverständlich stören.

Ich hoffe ich konnte bei der Kaufentscheidung weiterhelfen!
