This stuff is amazing! My 4 year old has battled an impetigo rash in her bottom for 8 months. We tried everything! 4 rounds of antibiotics (one finally kicking the staph out of the impetigo) and we applied tea tree oil with a carrier 3 times a day. The impetigo always seemed to come back even with bleaching and cleaning the surfaces of the house daily. This stuff kicked every bump off her body in 3 days and it has stayed away!!! It is amazing and does exactly what it says. Plan to buy more to keep on hand in the medicine cabinet.

I have had “something” on my face and scalp.... I have seen a couple different dermatologist that have all given me a different diagnosis but all said I have acne..... which is a joke. I have had so much inflammation my hair has been falling out. I think it is some type of fungal infection. I’m not going to get into too much detail. Treated my impetigo!

I had impetigo in both nostrils and was not able to see a doctor for antibiotics. I cleaned my impetigo sores with peroxide then applied betadine multiple times a day and the infection was gone within a couple days (it was still red but not weeping and infected). Now it has been 9 days and it is completely healed and unnoticeable. I've had these infections in the past (about yearly after a head cold or allergy flareup where I'm blowing my nose a lot) and it has never gone away so quickly. I will always keep betadine in my medicine cabinet, I can't believe how effective it was.

Tough to beat the performance of 1% iodine

Iodine ointments are getting increasingly difficult to find. Our local CVS has stopped carrying them in favor of supposedly better and more powerful multi-agent sulfate antibiotics or one of the "zoles." All my life my skin has been more susceptible to fungus than most, so I have been a walking test lab of "what works." For skin infection, despite recent calls to ban it, old trusty triclosan works remarkably well, and one or two topical applications will lick most anything. However, it is not uncommon when I travel to Asia to pick up a more aggressive strain of fungus. The moden sulfates, triclosan, and the "zoles" (any of them) are remarkably ineffective on these. But iodine ointment will completely eliminate them in one or two topical applications. The difference in performance is actually startling. True, unlike the others it has color and can stain, but it works. This should be in any first aid drawer.
