So what do we get here for a rather expensive bang for your buck, well a rather excellent sturdy box with superb book and a non descript poster(to be perfectly honest).
Disc 1 The original album ,remastered and it never sounded better, this album sometimes gets overlooked when discussing the top discs from 1972,this is absolutely up there, opening with the 'lost' classic track 'Wheels Of Confusion, then one brilliant track after another 'Tomorrow's Dream/Changes/Supernaut and of course the timeless classic 'Snowblind'
Disc 2 several outakes and remixes by Steven Wilson and really excellen, worth listening too.
disc 3 odds and sod and more of a curio, really you wont come back to this disc much, truthfully this could have fit onto disc 2. considering disc 2 is only 27 minutes long.
disc 4 essentially and expanded, remixed, remastered version of the 'Live at Last abomination, which originally hit the shelves in 1980,a really poorly produced piece of vinyl, the re issued cd in the 90's was worse, it was slightly better as part of the 2 disc set 'Past Lives'.Well this is easily the best its ever sounded proper care taken to get it to a enjoyable, listenable standard and they have succeeded.
In all honesty you couldnt say it value for money, cos its expensive for what your getting but you aint forced to buy, i was always going to get this, just waited my moment and it dropped to just over £50.
