Sandra Boynton is a popular American cartoonist, children’s author, songwriter, producer, and director. Since 1974, Boynton has written and illustrated over sixty children’s books and seven general audience books, including five New York Times bestsellers. More than 70 million of her books have been sold, “mostly to friends and family,” she says. She has also written (with Michael Ford) and produced six albums of renegade children’s music. Three of her six albums have been certified Gold (over 500,000 copies sold) and Philadelphia Chickens, nominated for a Grammy, has been certified Platinum (over 1 million copies sold). Boynton has also directed twelve music videos of her songs, including the award-winning “One Shoe Blues” starring B.B. King, “Alligator Stroll” starring Josh Turner, and “Tyrannosaurus Funk” (animated) sung by Samuel L. Jackson. She lives in rural New England, and her studio is in a barn with perhaps the only hippopotamus weathervane in America.

My son really laughed the first time we read this. He is 15 months and had a limited attention span But the book is quick to read so he pays attention until the end. The illustrations are simple so he is losing interest, I wish I had got it when he was younger as I think he will be bored of it soon. This is American but not a problem for me, I just say trousers instead of pants.
I haven't read this to my Grandson yet, but he's 18mo old and I am sure he will like it. He already has a great sense of humor , so I'm sure he will love all the "oop's". Can't wait till he sees it. Just would like to add, my grandson is now 2 yrs old and thinks this book is hysterical! He loves it -I am so glad I purchased it. I highly recommend it! If you could give it 6 stars I would.
This is a very funny little book, great for toddlers. My 2 year old son lought a lot from the first time I read it to him. It is a second book written by this author that we have and I can recommend them. The other one is The going to bed book - easy simle story about going to bed - just what you need for a bed time read.
