Introducing Bose Sleepbuds II—tiny, comfortable earbuds with sleep technology that’s clinically proven to help you fall asleep faster. They work with the Bose Sleep app to deliver relaxing sounds that help you fall asleep, and use Bose noise-masking technology to cover unwanted night-time disturbances that may otherwise wake you. So you get your best sleep ever. From wind-down to wake-up, this is your easy solution to better sleep.
Sleepbuds play content only from the app. Explore the Sound Library’s curated relaxation content—including tranquil tonal environments and sounds from nature and beyond—and Bose-engineered noise-masking sounds designed to cover night-time disturbances like snoring, outside traffic and next-door conversation. Download your favourites directly onto the earbuds to customise your night-time routine. The app also lets you set an alarm only you’ll hear, and access other features including Phone-free Mode, which allows you to program your settings ahead of time so you can leave your phone in another room.
In addition to optimised sleep sounds, Bose noise-masking technology also uses the noise-blocking design of proprietary soft silicone eartips. A pliable fin fits snugly in the ridge of your ear, while an umbrella shape gently seals off your ear canal to passively block noise. Three sizes are included so you can find a secure, comfortable fit. Sleep on your back or your side, toss and turn or roll over during the night: Sleepbuds will stay put.
A nickel-metal hydride battery provides up to 10 hours per charge, enough for a full night’s sleep, while the included charging/storage case gives you up to three additional full charges. Experience Sleepbuds for yourself.

BOSE SLEEPBUDS II
Your best sleep ever.
Bose Sleepbuds II use sleep technology clinically proven to help you fall asleep faster. They work with the Bose Sleep app to deliver tranquil tones or naturescapes to lull you to sleep and use Bose noise-masking tech so you stay asleep with fewer disruptions.
User-tested sleep technology
In a Bose-sponsored sleep study by the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and the UCHealth CARE Innovation Center, Bose sleep technology was clinically proven to help users fall asleep faster. The study also found that all participants believed noise was blocked effectively, like snoring and traffic. In addition, when surveyed, 8 out of 10 participants reported improved overall sleep quality and 76% felt it was easier to stay asleep and all believed noise was blocked effectively.
Sounds to sleep by.
EXPLORE THE BOSE SOUND LIBRARY
Choose from relaxing sounds to lull you to sleep or Bose-engineered noise-masking sounds designed to cover nighttime disturbances.
NOISE MASKING: Sleep sounds work with the noise-blocking design of the eartip, and are optimized to mask nighttime disturbances.
TRANQUILITIES: Relaxing, tonal environments designed to bring peace to your mind and body.
NATURESCAPES: Soothing sounds from nature and beyond transport you to comforting spaces.
Peace and quiet. When you need it most.
Unpredictable changes in sound are what interrupt your sleep. Bose noise-masking tech combines passive noise blocking with optimized noise-masking sounds to cover up disturbances.
Passive noise blocking: Sleepbuds fit snugly in your ear, while the eartip forms a gentle, comfortable seal for passive sound reduction.
Noise-masking sounds: Bose sounds are optimized to play consistently and at the right frequencies to make unwanted noise less perceptible.
Comfort is in the details.
Sleepbuds stay. Even when you move.
The unique eartips are designed exclusively for Sleepbuds II to provide a secure fit throughout the night. Toss, turn, sleep on your side — you’ll barely notice they’re there. The silicone tips are soft but durable, and conform to your ear shape. And a pliable fin fits snugly in the ridge of your ear. With three sizes, you’ll find the perfect fit.

And I ordered this pair a few hours after it was available on Amazon to have a proper sleep .
Previously I was wearing foam earplugs to sleep and I tried almost all the highly and massively rated ones on Amazon, but they all caused an sore in my ear canal and my sleep could not last more than 5 hours, mostly 4, I could sleep, but far from sleeping well.
After wearing this pair for two weeks, now I am used to it and could see my sleep improved: it is so much more comfortable than wearing foam earplugs that I don't want to wear the latter anymore; there is no battery issue this time; it masked the powerful hammering from upstairs after midnight well;
Many of the sounds have extra noises, they are not loud but clear, once you notice them , it is impossible to sleep with those sounds anymore, as you will hear those extra noises every few seconds;
For side sleepers, you will still feel the earplug and it does cause a pain, if you can't ignore it, it will affect your sleep.
Personally i will keep this pair to protect me against my neighbor. It is far from being perfect, and I don't think it is for everyone, however, if foam earplugs could not help you sleep, I do suggest you give it a try, after all, there are not many choices in the market.
As some other reviewers point out, some of the sounds have extra "noises" that annoyingly loop. I have found "warm static" works best for me.
Battery life is good enough (usually have about 20-30% after 10 hours of use at about 75% maximum volume). Pairing with the app on android phone is quick, and the alarm features works well.
Comfort is okay, I am a side sleeper and I find if I push my ear too much into the pillow it can block out the noise (which isn't a bad thing), but they stay in and my ears aren't sore in the morning (I've previously used foam ear plugs to block out noise).
Apart from improving some of the sound loops, would be more than happy to pay for these again and keen to see what Bose can do to upgrade them in future.

But for most of my life I didn't really have problems sleeping, so I wasn't too fussed about missing out on the Sleepbuds.
Then I moved into a new place, which has a street-facing master bedroom that draws traffic noise of about 10 dB more than I'm comfortable with. My sleep quickly deteriorated.
The Sleepbuds II had just come out, so I thought it might finally be time to give them a try.
As the other reviews here suggest, you have to be very comfortable with what you're getting for the money (because you'll spend a pretty penny) – these buds are meant for sleeping. They don't do music, audiobooks or podcasts, and the batteries won't last for more than a healthy sleep session. They work exclusively with the Bose Sleep app.
But it's what they do that sets them apart. They're comfortable in your ears – much more so than, say, AirPods or any other in-ear buds – and you can just about get away with lying the side of your head on a pillow while wearing them (I actually find it a bit tricky to pluck them out in the morning). They play a very limited array of continuous sounds that don't actively cancel noise but *mask* it.
After a bit of tweaking, I landed on "warm white noise" played at about 50% volume – and man, does that work for me. Any immediately noticeable traffic noise is masked by it, and off I'll go.
It's still early days and I'm sure there's much more testing to come – but so far they work like a dream for me. Zero issues with battery life (I don't think I've taken them lower than 20-25% yet) and zero issues with keeping them in for the whole night.
Bose has a 90-day no-questions-asked return scheme (might be worth checking whether it applies to third-party retailer purchases), so you won't have much to lose if you want to give them a try. And if they work for you, you'll quickly find they're worth much more.
And whilst they do a pretty good job, like all good things there are some major caveats. These aren't noise cancelling as I believed. They just have sound tracks designed to mask the noises around you. While they do a good job of masking those sounds it does mean that you always have to listen to something. You can't just pop them in and expect near silence like you can with some of their noise cancelling headphones.
Second caveat is that unless you have some seriously deep, soft pillows these are remarkably uncomfortable after a night's sleep. Every morning I've woken up with really sore ears.
All told they work pretty well but I definitely wouldn't pay over 200 quid for them again.
- traurig.
