I got it from Amazon Warehouse and had to return it after a week as it would work for a couple of minutes -- and then die for a few minutes -- and then would work for a couple of minutes. Rinse & repeat.
Seems not to do well with thicker hair at all. Will have to find something else.
I was extremely impressed with this product, the wife was able to give me a great haircut using it and she commented how easy it was to use. I used the minimum cutting setting, as I didn't want to risk taking too much off first time. Its really easy to adjust the comb setting to achieve desired length and within 30 minutes I had a very neat cut very even all round. Fantastic product for the price. I cannot yet comment on charging battery life as we were able to use it straight out of the box without the need to charge it first, no problems.
Not a bad razor, the extra fittings may come off if you don't be carful. Takes overnight to charge but stays charged for a good while. Reading reviews from a year ago they may of improved the battery life. Not the greatest selection of length. Mine came with a USA plug. But value for money for a razor
During lockdown my old shaver broke and I also wanted to be able to do my own hair (2 back and sides). This shver works great and I've been very impressed with it. If you've given your head, face (and possibly some other parts <_<...) a good go then you will probably need to put it back on charge.
I bought this to replace the previous version which had eventually stopped charging after several years so it owed me nothing. This one has a diffefent height adjustment - not a wheel but a slider - not as good as the previous one but no doubt easier to manufacture.
The shaver plug is handy for use in the bathroom. If the battery runs low, while shaving, it can still be used by being plugged into the shaver socket in the bathroom. The comments that claim this a European plug are not correct. The two are not the same. All the Braun toothbrushes have a shaver plug too. The shaver works very well and I've been using it for over a year now. Battery lasts very well and the attachments do not break easily. I would recommended this item.
Exactly what it say on the tin, the clipper is good I just love the way it glides through my hair very effective since I bought it I've only charged it one and I only use it for my hair which I barber every 2 weeks and still got loads power Braun did this good I love it no complain so far
So I've been using the same pair of battered, old, mains powered clippers for 20 years and decided it was time for a change. (Given that my beard was starting to look like I spent my days begging for change and the years haven't been too kind to my hairline.) Took a punt on this set and I could not be happier. Small, light and powerful as you could wish for... and very quiet to boot. So many grades, sturdy build and who's going to say no to a new razor to finish the job. Well worth the brass, get one and you won't regret it.
Firstly, its made in China not Germany. The edges of the blade guard are sharp, making a trim extremely uncomfortable, especially under the nose. I bought it 3 months ago. A few weeks ago it stopped working mid-shave. Had to charge it. Then I got about 30 seconds out of it. Now it wont work at all, it's dead. The first shaver in about 25 years that has done this. Waste of money as it doesn't appear I can send it to Amazon to be repaired as there is no option.
