The final installment of a series is always a bittersweet time. As a reader, I hope that the path leading up to the end is consistent with the whole body of work and that the MC triumphs but not too easily. That is exactly what was delivered in this book. The series ends with sacrifice and heartbreak but also with ultimate victory.
It has been a great ride to get here and it is sad to leave this world and these characters behind.
Well done and well ended.

Good bookReviewed in the United States on 21 June 2020
This was a very good continuation of the seeries. Well fleshed out from beginning to end and I love the fact that we got an insight of the Jace's friends and what they feel and think rather than standby characters. My only selfish complaint I have with this book is the fact Jace gets a new core every book. I understand that his core is damaged and in need of repair yada yada but I feel as though it damages his growth as a martial artist when he trades in his core every book.
RushedReviewed in the United States on 2 July 2020
It feels rushed. The characters always know what to do and there doesn't seem to be any stakes or chances of failure
