I recently upgraded my graphics card to play games in 1440p and while the games look good, there was something about it that didn't sit right. After messing with the settings, I couldn't get it right still until someone said that I should change the HDMI cable which was 1.4b to DisplayPort. For all those on the fence, do it as the image dramatically improved and gaming is much much much better in 1440p. As long as your monitor allows it, a good 144hz cable will rock your world.

Bought two identical 3m cables for two 1440p monitors. One capable of 144hz and one only capable of 60hz.

The first cable I tried on my gaming monitor was only able to achieve 1440p @ 85hz. 100hz, 120hz and 144hz were attempted, however any effort to introduce higher refresh rates resulted in a black screen.

I switched cables and the second cable was instantly able to produce 1440p @ 144hz with no issues.

I am in the "fortunate" situation where I can use my lower performing cable for my low performance, 60hz monitor, however, buyers should beware that there is a lack of consistency in performance between identical cables from the same brand shipped at the same time.

Good value for a 3m cable, but note that this uses a stiff braiding - the type that coils and bends in odd ways, rather than the soft braiding you get on a lot of other cables. If you're using a monitor arm and frequently adjust it, the cable makes noise as it moves.

Erstes Displayport Kabel das mit Valve Index VR funktioniert

Ich habe 3 Displayport Verlängerungen für meine Valve Index VR Brille ausprobiert.
Jede hat damit geworben, dass VR damit möglich sein soll, aber alle anderen Kabel haben heftige bunte Pixelstörungen, sehr häufige Bildabbrüche und knistern aus den Lautsprechern verursacht.
Scheinbar hat ihre Leistung nur bei manchen VR Brillen ausgereicht. Die Valve Index ist jedoch etwas wählerisch was das Kabel angeht. Evtl. weil zumindest auch Sound übertragen wird und andere VR Headsets für Sound manchmal stattdessen ein eigenes Headset (mit eigenem Kanal) voraussetzten.

Aber die Suche hat ein (etwas zerknirschtes) Ende mit diesem doch recht teuren Kabel. Es funktioniert perfekt, keine Framedrops und keine Störungen.

Hallo zusammen,

habe das Kabel als zukunftssichere "Investition" gekauft. Momentan habe ich es mit meinem 4k HDR Fernseher im Einsatz. Ich habe es außerdem an meinem 144 Hz Monitor (1080p) getestet. Beides hat auf Anhieb, ohne Probleme funktioniert.
Zu beachten ist lediglich, dass man keine zu enge Radien verlegt oder das Kabel abknickt, da sonst das Lichtsignal nicht zur Empfängerseite durchkommt!

Ich kann das Kabel absolut empfehlen und freue mich darauf es an meinem zukünftigen 8k Gerät zu verwenden.
