For so long I've been searching for the best neck pillow for travel - and I'm wondering how I didn't find this one until now! The memory foam is soft enough that it doesn't hurt, but is solid enough to provide great support. While for me the walls on the side were the right height, people with shorter necks may not find it to their taste. I love how easy it is to attach to headrest wings on airplanes. I also love how easy it is to compact into its own carry case (which you can either pack or clip on with the strap).
This pillow is definitely a big step forward compared to the standard variety, but don't expect perfection. If you really need a comfortable sleep on your flight, go for that lie-flat business class seat in the front of the plane :) If, however, the pointy end is not an option, then this pillow is definitely a great helper. Its greatest advantage for me was that it kept my head from bobbing side-to-side, it was really great for that. However, my neck still got a forward-backward twist. I also felt the pressure on my jugular veins - as the pillow supports your head from going left-right, it unavoidably squeezes the sides of your neck. And, of course, you're still sleeping half-upright, so pillow or no pillow, your sleep position is unnatural... So, there's only so much that this pillow can do. But still, it was a well-spent $60 - it does make the long journey in the back of the plane more comfortable.
I found that it's better to ditch the manufacturer's attachment instructions and simply pull the double stretchy band over the headrest flaps, otherwise the velcro fastener tends to come off all the time.
Apart from comfort, the other great feature is that it's really compact when packed, makes it a lot less unseemly than those cheap pillows dangling off backpacks.
Recently purchased these pillows for 24+ hours flights (Melbourne to Barcelona, Rome to Melbourne... These are the best travel pillows I have ever used in terms of comfort and support.. I was able to sleep for 9-10 hours and no neck/back pain/spasms, etc...
My only negative feedback the case these pillows come with are of a very poor quality.. I purchased 2 pillows and on arrival one had a broken case (which the seller replaced immediately, and with a version which was of a better quality) however whilst traveling the other case for the second pillow broke.... I would really rather see them sell bags with the better quality case, even if it means increasing the price slightly.
Cabeau Evolution S3 Travel Pillow is a plush cloud of deliciousness even when it's strapped around your neck and holding you to the headrest on the seat. I was able to get more and deeper sleep with this pillow than ever before... and much to the joy of my fellow travellers it completely mitigated any snoring. This is a genuine 5-star product, but I've deducted a point because the zipper on the very handy carry bag broke on its first use. The Cabeau support team were a pleasure to deal with and a replacement bag was arranged with no fuss at all.
This is the neck pillow for me. I bought a few pillows that just weren’t for me not that they wouldn’t suit other people but this was by far the most comfortable, adjustable and supportive. Would highly recommend. I have bought two, one for me and my husband for a round the world trip with a lot of flights!!!
