This is by far the best travel pillow I have used, firm but comfortable. It keeps your head supported and allows a decent sleep on a long haul flight however it can get quite warm when used for long periods. The only down fall was that the strap that attaches to the head rest is not very flexible; when applied on my TUI long haul flight to Thailand I needed to sit upright and this was very uncomfortable and so I used it without the strap. I'd say the older generation my be better value for money as the extra £10+ for a strap that can not be used on all planes does not seem warranted.
My partner and I bought one each for a long haul flight to New York. I slept for the majority of the flight (this has NEVER happened) and my head did not fall once. I am 5”7 and my partner is 6”3 and we both found the pillow comfortable when the Velcro straps were fastened to the seat’s head rest (as recommended). The soft memory foam filling contours to your face and neck. The pillow felt a little claustrophobic at first due to the pull string bringing the pillow tight under your face/chin, however it soon felt comfortable. Having previously using many travel pillows and being left thoroughly sleep deprived on long journey flights, I can confidently say that this pillow is worth the price tag and does what it promises!
This is the best flight pillow I have used. It doesn't have beans in it like the usual ones. It's memory foam and it's so comfortable! I took a flight to Colombia through Canada from UK very long flights. It helps your head stay up right so so embarrassing putting your head on a stranger lol I found I was able to sleep a good few hrs with this.
We flew UK to Hong Kong, then on to Sydney, so 9 hours followed by 12, and return, and my neck didn't get at all sore. I didn't think the 'guarantee' could be true, but I'm never flying without it now. I used it in the rental car (passenger seat) and it was great there too. I even got some sleep on the flights, which hasn't happened since I had kids and had to stop taking sleeping tablets for flights.
I'm a short-medium woman (so proportionately, I have a short-medium length neck) and it does feel a bit like wearing a neck brace. I also found it a bit warm during the beginning of a journey but it was a very welcome insulation by the time we were in the air and temperature went down!
However, I bought it in the hopes that I wouldn't have neck pains after a long haul flight and I came out the other side and my neck felt absolutely great, so it really did what I needed it to do!
I've tried quite a few travel pillows, this sounded one of the most promising. Looks good, rolls up small (hence the 2 stars), but it simply doesn't have any support. You can squash it down to an inch between 2 fingers with ease, I have no idea how they think this would support the weight of your head.
I've never slept on planes... until now. I recently used this on 2 flights between London and New York. Got a little sleep on both flights, which is a first for me so in that respect I highly recommend.
The only thing to note over-ear headphones (I have Bose QC35's) don't sit quite right when the Cabeau is attached to the seat. Fine when not attached and turned slightly to the side.
