To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
- fits nice and snug in the ports of both my gpu and monitor - was more than long enough for my wide spread - all I needed was 4k 60hz so this more than met the requirements - I have been using this for several months now and I have not noticed any unusual behaviour, if I had I would have tested by process of elimination to ensure it was infact the cable and nothing else. - I heard positive reviews about UGreen, but they did not have the cable that fit my needs. - the latches clip on just great (if you plug and unplug often you might find the latches bothersome, I don't, I plug and fugettaboutit. IF you move your monitors around, but don't need to unplug, the teeth will prevent it from detaching) - I just tried unpluging it as I was writting this review to test how easy it is, and it seems about the same as the cable that came with my other monitor, so not dificult, but not too easy either that it could just fall out, just about right I'd say. - If the diplay port on your monitor, for what ever reason, would make it dificult to push the release button, you may want to consider going with a cable that doesn't have the latch teeth. - that's all I can think of.
I ordered this for my Oculus Rift S to go with my Kiwi Pulley system. It's often recommended to get a DisplayPort repeater because after 10 feet you can start to lose some connection.
I bought the DisplayPort extension + a repeater + USB 3.0 extension from CableMatters and they work great for the Rift S.
I've got a few hours of gametime in since I got the cable extension and I haven't had a single problem yet, which is great because I know some people who try to extend their DisplayPort will lose connection occasionally.
I haven't tried it without the repeater, so I am not sure if it's actually even necessary but based on internet comments I would recommend grabbing one anyway at the same time as ordering the DP cable.
So a lot of people don't know that but using a fake/low quality display Port cable can cause problems on newer DP 1.4 devices. On some Gigabyte motherboards you can even have cod boot isues if your cable is not good enough. So when I needed an extention for my display I went and loked at the list of cetified cables on the Vesa website and got this one. it may be slightly more expensive than other cables but I now have the peace of mind that it will work great.
Price for length seems reasonable and quality is fine. Mine required a firm press of the releasing tab to initially seat the retaining tangs in their holes on the cable, however this could have been caused by an impact during shipping just as easily as a manufacturing error so I'm refraining from docking any stars.
Great value for money, great build quality, performance and length. The default max length i thought and believed for displayport/mini displayport was 6 feet/so to be proven to be wrong is a great surprise and delight indeed... rock solid latching.... can’t speak more highly or recommend amazon and this cable... thus... 5 stars
Using this on my RTX 2070 with a BenQ 27" hdr 4k colour precise monitor and I am getting the full colour delta within 0.2% (ridiculously precise!) My images are super sharp and I see no interference in the display and my monitor achieves it's highest resolution and settings without issue.
I needed a new cable after the old one was giving me a blank screen. It works well and the latches are a good touch when connecting between my monitor and video card. The picture is bright and crisp. I am satisfied with this purchase.
Beefy cable, strong connection points. Does the job it is supposed to do and it feels like quality. I do not anticipate replacing this cable until the next new tech comes out which requires a different DP cable. Very pleased.
