Just got it in the mail and the device itself I'm loving so far. Easy setup on my pixel 4, and very quick pairing when I turn it on, it's like a second or 2 and you can start taking photos.

Using default camera app.
On my device it won't do anything if you hold the button down, not sure if it's supposed to. I was expecting burst shot mode but honestly I never use that setting.

Overall I recommend it, I'll never use the silly straps and accessories it came with but the snap hook will definitely come in handy for hiking or backpacks. The snap hook is a little big if you want to keep your keys minimalist tho.
I don't know anything about the battery, water resistance, and durability. But it's a cheap device that I'm happy with.

This is such an amazing little gadget! Being able to take a very stable photo with no iPhone wobble is fantastic. Sometimes when my iPhone is on the tripod and everything is set up ready to go, there might be a shadow cast if I take the photo manually. The CamKix stops all of that. I love it. My only problem might be losing it. I have sorted this by attaching the lanyard and hanging it up on my pinboard. I would recommend the CamKix to anyone.

The item description is not accurate. It mentions that the tripod/stand is suited for Tablet, which is definitely not true. We have Samsung tablet and iPad mini and both do not fit the maximum width of the tripod hook. I bought it for iPAD mini and it cannot be used for that.
The description should not mention "Tab" and infact should specifically mention that it is NOT for iPAD, iPAD mini and tablets.

Been using this to record videos on my iPhone 7. It seems to work with whatever setting you've chosen in 'Camera' mode. So if you have it set to photo, you can take a picture, or if set to video, it'll start and stop the video for you. It seems to be pretty reliable in doing what it needs to do but I wish there were a way to actually tell that it's actually taken the photo or started the video and stopped. It would make me feel more comfortable when recording longer takes knowing that it's definitely recording. As I said, though, it seems to be working just fine so haven't really encountered any problems except for when my phone battery is running low and comes up with the power saving message. Then I found that the remote didn't work - in my case, it didn't stop the recording. So I had 27 minutes of recording with all the 'fluff' rather than shorter segments - at least it recorded it and it wasn't the other way around! I'd certainly recommend this for anyone doing video work with their iPhone.

Does work, but not with all camera apps, including the one on my phone unfortunately, I have an Oppo F1S, they suggest using an app "camera 360" which I just didn't like, and found a bit childish, and Google camera 360 doesn't exist anymore on play store or I may have tried that, as all I want is to take picture with my phone that's all.

My built in phone camera app it only works the camera shutter but not the video, I also have Open camera as well on my phone, the android button doesn't do anything, the IOS works the camera zoom in but nothing else, I also downloaded Magic camera similar layout to Open Camera, the android button does nothing IOS button works camera shutter and video.

At the end of the day between the 3 apps It will do a job I bought it for but I can't give it 5 stars as they say "Compatible with all IOS and Android Devices" and it isn't compatible without a lot of unnecessary messing about to find some app that it works with.?

But for the money it is a bargain...

The remote is small and compact. Nice design and good selection of colours. I like the simplicity of this product.

The remote is simple and quick to set up and pair to your device.

It is very simple to operate.
Press the button to take a picture & press the button to start & stop a video.
It is fast and responsive.
Included is a spare 3V lithium(coin/button cell) battery.
Also included is a zip lock pouch, which is useful for keeping it all together organised, for storage and transportation.
The remote is very lightweight and compact. Included is a lanyard & carabiner for quick access on the go.

I would recommend keeping the remote attached to the lanyard as it is quite small and could be easily lost/ and or misplaced. Howether I like its small form factor, making it ideal for travel and carrying around.

It is useful if you wish to take selfies or group photos by leaning your phone against an object, such as a wall acting as a makeshift tripod.
The remote has a maximum range of 30 feet (10m), which is more than enough.

I have been using the remote with my device mounted to a tripod.
It is a great setup with the Bluetooth Remote Control by CamKix.

It enables me to operate my devices shutter without having to press the button on the device.
Overall I enjoy using this product. It is a good product, which is very useful.

Update: Can't find a way to switch off the recording. Have to do it manually every time, which rather defeats the purpose. Also, it keeps losing its Bluetooth connection. Revising my rating from 5 stars to 1. Pity, it seemed good.
Update 2: Received a reply from the seller about this problem, which suggested that age-old tech response: Switch off the iPad, switch it back on. And it worked. For the time being it is working perfectly. So the rating goes up to 4 (just in case).
