"I'm a big fan of cookbooks that offer delicious and nutritious recipes that are easy to make for busy people. Clean Eating Meal Prep offers just that! The dynamic duo of Emily and Phil Kyle have created a cookbook that doesn't need a special diet label because the recipes use wholesome, whole foods. I love that they not only show how to use leftovers to save time but also include sweet treats like Chickpea Cookie Dough Bites! This is an excellent addition to any kitchen. Both my husband and toddler were thrilled!" --Elizabeth Shaw, MS, RDN, CPT, Nutrition Expert of ShawSimpleSwaps.com and Author of Instant Pot Cookbook For Dummies and Air Fryer Cookbook For Dummies

The meal plans include days of “leftovers” which I don’t find appetizing, most of the plans have this weekly regimen of leftovers day after day. I prefer more variety. There are some good recipes and the book is organized well but not good enough to keep. I will return the book.

The only reason I give this book 4 and not 5 stars is because of how the recipes are written and the suggested prep instructions. Make sure to read through each "chapter" and recipe at least 3 times before starting. This is certainly not for beginners, so it's a good thing I'm not. I had to constantly search for substitutions to things in the recipes that I don't like - such as mushrooms - or leave things out. Which, again, everything was delicious so that's fine. I just wish the book would mention things like this because a lot of recipes use ingredients that aren't suited for most people's taste buds. Another example: beets and goat cheese. What I found strange about that particular recipe wasn't just the flavor combination, but the fact that it says you can sub whatever beets they say to use for canned ones. It's a "clean eating" cookbook! Why would you not suggest using FRESH beets??
Anyway, would I recommend this book? Absolutely. But never to someone who doesn't have a lot of experience cooking or has never meal prepped before.
Oh one last thing. If you absolutely hate onions of any sort, just look for a different book because they're in almost every recipe.
