Upside down switch is so easy to fix! NOT a problem at all! Best Quality switch out there!
Reviewed in the United States on 19 July 2018Verified Purchase
This is the best dimmer out there. Listen guys, almost everyone who didn't give this 5 stars is because on/off is backwards. It's so easy to fix though. It has 2 red wires. Hook up one and up is off. Hook up the other red wire instead and up is on. It's just that simple. Directions have it backwards for USA. Don't hesitate to get this amazing switch. I have 16 of them now, and every single one of them work perfect. No buzzing, no flickering, nothing but smooth adjustment from high to low. Any buzzing or flickering is normally caused by under-powering it... which can easily be adjusted out with the dial, so that the minimum power it supplies is just right for whatever you are powering. I will pay extra to get the best quality, and this my friends, is the best quality. I tried about 15 different ones before I found this beauty. Save yourself my struggles. Seriously, get this one. You won't be sorry!

People can’t read directions apparently
Reviewed in the United States on 12 August 2018Verified Purchase
I read the reviews of this switch stating “up is down and down is up” - this is not accurate. It works like any regular switch, as long as you don’t install it UPSIDE DOWN. The dimmer part of the switch goes on the BOTTOM, not the top. I have this switch in my home in two separate areas, one for Torchstar recessed LED lighting and once for an IKEA LED light. They both work well, with no buzzing or dimming issues at all. Not sure why so many people install it upside down when the directions and pictures all show the right way to install it.

OK if it is Standalone (only one, read on)
Reviewed in the United States on 12 July 2020Verified Purchase
These seem to work fine if they are on a standalone circuit and with one set of lights being controlled. I will explain what I mean. I recently installed 6 Cloudy Bay LED 4" lights in my office. I put 3 on one dimmer and 3 on another, they are in the same box with the same circuit feeding them. I followed the directions to the "T", set one dimmer with the (impedance) trimmer, then setup the other. If you turn just one on (at any dimmer setting), it is stable and will not flicker. If you have both on and at diff brightness levels, they will fight each other and flicker unless you can match the same brightness level on both. For now they get 3 stars as I have not had this issue out of Lutron (3 in the same gang box, same circuit - no issue!) or similar brands as they likely filter the incoming AC better in order to prevent this from happening.
I believe these are indeed a "5-star" rated dimmer if you are only using one at a time and I will be ordering more for that specific purpose. I will also ensure they are used on 2 diff circuits to ensure no cross-talk between the dimmers.
7/17 update:
I will be returning these dimmers as even when I was using 1 of them, there was excessive flicker, EVEN WITH THEIR OWN LIGHTS! Don't know if they had a bad batch or what because the other one seems to be OK. Went back to Lutron Diva C-L as they always work and have never had any issues with them. Costs more, but you get what you pay for!
7/30-
Went to return them to Amazon today. Was told, "Sorry, you are a day beyond the return period". Stuck with junk dimmers. Just buy Lutron dimmers and save yourself a headache in the case you get one that is defective.

Very nice and versatile LED+ dimmer for less (no 'upside-down' issues)
Reviewed in the United States on 30 September 2019Verified Purchase
My hubby have now installed 4 of theses for some LED-recessed lights in a couple locations and rooms in our house.
We love them as they look good, with the dimmer lever is nice and small in the bottom, (not something one typically want to adjust every time one turns on the light anyhow, more of an 'set once-and-when-forget' thing, in these particular rooms and for us anyhow..). Was easy to adjust the initial dimmer range/level and the proclaimed 'upside-down issue' (i.e. the button to be pushed in at bottom when light is on, where others have installed the dimmer 'upside down' (with the dimmer lever up = and then the dimmer is in reverse) to get it to work that way) was a non issue - Hubby just used the 'second' red cable instead of the 'first' and problem solved. Else no flickering lights nor any buzzing sounds. Absolutely Love them and my handy Hubby of course ! :)

Works Great!
Reviewed in the United States on 8 September 2018Verified Purchase
I replaced all my living room floods with 11 watt LED dimmable lights and then bought these dimmers. Since my wall switch had a four plate cover, I had to take my metal cutters to trim off the sides to get them to line up properly, but after I finished, all the dimmers fit, and they work great. I can dim these lights all the way down until they are barely noticeable, but that has more to do with the type of LED floods I bought than the dimmer itself. Absolutely NO flickering. Very pleased.
