I gave it a try, but it weighed my hair down and gave the ends a bit of a greasy feel. I tried it again using MUCH less product, but aside from a bit of detangling, it didn't really provide any noticeable moisture or shine.
I originally bought this because I got a trial size of it on one of my ipsy bags and I fell in love with the scent. However after I started using it consistently for 2 months I have to say that this was not good for my hair. I have wavy/curly hair which I occasionally blow dry and this left my hair always feeling like it had some residue and would weigh it down. My curls looked frizzy and dry and when my hair was straight it would get greasy way faster and look limp and with no life/volume. I gave it 2 stars because 1. smell 2. made my hair shiny. I don't think these benefits outweigh all the other stuff though. Overall would not recommend.
I had high hopes for a new "leave-in conditioner" but was disappointed. The packaging is great, the product has a salon smell, and goes on smooth.
As instructed, I applied a dime size amount to towel dry hair and blow-dried. Unfortunately, once dry, my hair looked greasy at the scalp/my part. It looked like I hadn't washed my hair at all. As someone with thin, typically dry hair, seeing a greasy part was unusual.
Understanding this could be user error, I tried the product a few more times. Mainly applied from the middle to the end of my hair. But any time it go close to the scalp(from running my hands or brush through it while blow-drying), same problem.
I've tried it enough to know it doesn't work for me. I won't order it again.
I purchased this after all of the great reviews I had read about this product. For someone with naturally curly hair, humidity makes my hair so frizzy. While, this did however smell great and basically flatten/smooth out my hair, it didn't help to keep any frizz under control any better then my current shampoo/conditioner combination that is for defrizzing. The top of my hair continued to frizz up leaving my ends looking smooth, very strange combination. I will however be returning the product as it is pricey and didn't do as I had expected.
This product smells like Off bug spray. I couldn’t use it more than a couple times. I gave it to a friend just telling her it didn’t work for me, then she told me she threw it away because of the smell. I wanted to love it... just couldn’t.
I was happy to see my fave R+Co on Amazon. The product that I received is not the same as what I purchased from my hair salon. The product smells faintly of ammonia or sulfur and it's thicker that normal. I thought maybe it separated during shipping so I shook the tube and used it this morning. Now my head is itching like crazy!
My first impressions were good. The product went on easily, smelled nice, and as my hair air dried this brought out wave and hid frizz. However, if you have longer hair, be careful applying this to the ends. Part of how this works seems to be grouping hairs together, and I kept getting serious tangles and snagging hairbrushes. I tried to fix it by only using the smallest drop or by concentrating only on the roots, but the problems persisted. Worse, I've noticed a serious increase in split ends since giving this a try, probably from the all the snarls. I'm giving it two stars because it does deliver on shine and I think it probably works on shorter hair or other textures.
