This book is more of an overview or introduction to the material covered on the exam. It is a decent read, but as noted by another reviewer you will absolutely not pass the exam if this is your only study material. This book, the Professor Messer videos (free), and examcompass practice quizzes (free) together will make you better prepared.
For me I've been reading this book a couple chapters at a time each night, and at that is quite helpful to refresh and reinforce the more detailed material elsewhere. In that regard it is similar to Gibson's Security+ book of reviewing the bullet points at the ends of each chapter. 3.5 stars would be about right.

A decent overview, but not enough to pass the exam, 3.5/5Reviewed in the United States on 7 July 2019

You CANNOT PASS the COMPTIA Network + Certification Exam with this Book!Reviewed in the United States on 6 June 2019
This book is a general overview of the elements and topics on the examination. It in no way will prepare you to pass the Network + Certification examination by relying on this book solely. So, if you are looking for a birdseye view of the topics on the exam, then this book is for you. If you, like me, are hoping to use this as the basis for preparing for the Network + certification exam, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! It is misleading when part of the sub-title of the book is "Learn about the COMPTIA Network + Certification from A - Z". Not true in my opinion, and quite frankly very misleading.

This book is helpful as a reference, but I should have picked a more beefy guide since I am new to network administration and I need more info.
