Pros: These connectors mainly do their job of connecting RGB led light strips. You can connect the strips at different angles with incorrect alignment of the rgb as long as the positive cable (+) are lined up. With much fiddling and using all the connectors I got my intended setup to work.
Cons: However, one of the connectors stopped working and I had to switch it out and take out a piece of the led strip to resolve the connection. Also, to keep the positive sides aligned, you may have to use multiple connectors at one corner to turn the strip the direction you prefer. Keep in mind these plastic adapters are also tough to open without nails. Occasionally the red light in my strips goes out in one portion, but I’m not sure if this is due to the quality of the strips or the connectors.
Caution: before you start with any project you may want to measure out and see where your led strips can be cut. As you can see with my project, I could not cut the strips at the exact places I wanted and had to bend the strip or compromise in certain areas to get the desired layout.
Customer Service: They resolved any complications I had with the product and it’s use; friendly and prompt service.
Overall: I was unsure about the effectiveness of this product when paired with cheaply made led strips from China which are not actually RGB+ but more like BRG+. However, when you fiddle with these connectors enough you can get them to work just fine.
I got these 2 connect lights under my counter and connecting them to one power source. Worked perfectly and the connection was seamless. Very easy to install. Important point to note is to follow the terminals. They are printed on the connectors but very dim. Not a big issue but something to check carefully. One thing I did notice was that lights from different brands were not connecting even though they followed the same pattern. I tried to extend my lights further but for some reason the same brand LED's lit-up when connected to their original power source while differing lights did not. Not sure if I had a bad LED or if this is a Universal thing.
These connectors come as 3-way chips with clips which go over them which you must install. I found several difficulties. One, some of the clamps were missing teeth. Two, frequently the clamping teeth were too tight to fit the chips without prying them up first. Same when connecting to the power strips, even after removing the adhesive portion. Three, after it was all assembled, one direction (of three) did not work on two of the chips. Four, after everything is finished, the connections are very easy to jostle or separate. I get a lot of flickering.
It is very time consuming and unreliable. Good old fashioned solder is your best choice, even if you have to learn.
It does what it’s Supposed to do no doubt. But I can ensure you it’s really hard to slide in the led sometimes, Which was a little upsetting but all together not a bad product or price for the quantity,
