5.0 out of 5 starsRunning well on AMD system with a small adjustment
Reviewed in Australia on 15 September 2020
My system is Ryzen 9 3900X on B550M motherboard. When using XMP with 3600Mhz the system does not run stable (although it gives very high performance for the whole system: 92% for CPU, 99% for GPU; 122% for Ram on UserBenchmark).
As per advice online, I reduced to 3466Mhz (on Bios) and it runs very smooth and stable and still with high performance -- 110% for RAM on UserBenchmark. When not using XMP the motherboard set the speed of 2600Mhz only. The system run much better with 3466Mhz. Problem was perhaps with the motherboard and AMD system, which cannot support more than 3600Mhz.

Couldn't get the XMP to enable on this kit.

Ended up getting another kit from a local provider which works properly.

I can't give this a good review because it doesn't even get close to the advertised speeds, not even using XMP. The best I can get is 2866 MHz. This is not good ram

2.0 out of 5 stars Good clearance for large CPU coolers. Not at all optimised for Ryzen
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2020
Style Name: 3600MHzVerified Purchase
I had thought like many others that 3600mhz stock will noticeably improve CPU and drive performance from the 3200mhz. The previous 3200 was fine at its standard XMP profile, and would boot no problem. The 3600mhz feels no different. With some Careful and safe optimising Timing numbers the results are always unstable. Infact it’s just an unstable RAM full stop, probably because it’s designed for Intel and heavy advertisement of an amazing price value item just made Ryzen and Corsair LPX seem like a match made in heaven, when in reality they’re a bad couple. I gave up with these things, as they’ve made my system unstable to no end and as a result I’m going to buy something else and return this one too. Overall for Ryzen 3600, in my case, they’re just a hindrance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unstable at 3600MHz
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 December 2020
Style Name: 3600MHzVerified Purchase
So, I got this kit to go with my new Ryzen 5600x. Just upgraded from Intel, and used Corsair Vengeance RAM their, so I thought this was a safe bet. Plus it's Corsair, a rather reputable brand, with products in pretty much every area. It turns out that with my new Ryzen chip, on the latest BIOS version, it is unstable at 3600MHz. I tried increasing voltage, to no success. The only way I got it to work was going to 3533Mhz, and it seems to be stable now. If you have issues, I'd advise trying the same, but if you can avoid this kit, maybe the brand too.

Lastly, this kit does not have RGB. I don't care about that, but maybe you do. In fact not having it, is more of a plus for me. No gaudy light show, yay.

2.0 out of 5 stars OK - But does not run at 3600 Mhz for me

Works OK, but will not boot on my current platform above ~3200 Mhz at 18-22-22-42 on my platform even though it's listed on the ASUS QVL @ 3600 for my board. Default XMP profile (3600 18-22-22-42) does not boot using this kit. My setup is AMD 3900X using ASUS AMD Ryzen TUF GAMING X570-PLUS MB. Would not buy again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unstable ram, not AMD Optimised
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 March 2021
Style Name: 3600MHzVerified Purchase
This had to be returned, purchased 3600 mhz for Ryzen 5 3600XT. Had initial issues shortly after building the PC with it not posting and stopping on Amber light on an Asus b550 board. Changed speed in bios and was fine in games sometimes had the recurrent post issue, eventually enabled XMP profile and had speed at 3600Mhz and games crashed and still had posting issues. Lowered speed a few steps and no game crashes but still having post issue and Amber light. This Ram also says Intel on the box so it isn't optimised for AMD and you can't guarantee the rated speed, had to return and purchased other Corsair ram AMD Optimised and found the QVL list for my mobo to ensure the ram and mobo are absolutely compatible and increase the change of stable speeds. No issues since changing. I think this ram would he perfectly fine and is really good value if you don't mind lowering the speed if necessary or checking if it is on the QVL list for your mobo

1.0 out of 5 stars CMK16GX4M2D3600C18 - Down binned Ram

Well, it is my own mistake, i was searching for a particular ram part number and this one was listed right at the top. I selected and was surprised when i saw the timings. I double checked the order and packing, yep, it was what i selected. DOH !
I have noticed this trend more and more, now i am aware.
Put in a particular part number and Amazon search engine spits out that it wants to shift.
Anyway the dimms work ok at the xmp 18.22.22.42 , checked the specs and mine are Micron D9VPP, from 2013.
They won't post on anything other than the 2133 default and 3600 XMP settings.
I didn't go beyond 1.4 dimm voltage.
Since i bought the kit the price has dropped £6.71. to 95.89.
Although they work , i feel ripped off, as the same kit is cheaper on Scan 85 and Overclockers 75.

caveat emptor .

3.0 out of 5 stars 3600Mhz? Maybe.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 September 2021

The thing to remember with DDR4 is the maximum speed is 2666Mhz, so anything over that is attained via an overclock, so when you see RAM kits with speeds over 2666Mhz then that is the overclock set by the manufacturer and is obtained via XMP, there is a wee chip on the DIMMS called the SPD chip and that is programmed in the factory with the XMP speed and timings. So your machine may or may not be able to use the memory at the speed that has been set in SPD, 3200Mhz seems to be pretty easy, but over that not so much. If you look in the reviews here you will see a lot of folk having the same issue as me, in as much as this kit wouldn't run at 3600Mhz, and I have pretty decent components, of an ASUS Hero XI and an i9 9900K, OK not the most up to date or the most tip top of the range, but still pretty good and it just wouldn't run this memory at 3600Mhz. The other thing to consider is the performance increase you will get from 400Mhz (3200Mhz to 3600Mhz) extra is so miniscule as not to be noticed. I'd guess that the RAM chips used in these DIMMS aren't the best and better kits would probably run at 3600Mhz and above. If you look on the website for the company that makes your motherboard, you will find a list of compatible memory, which isn't to say that if a certain model of memory kit isn't on there it won't work, it's more that if it is in the list it should definitely work, IE it's been tested by the motherboard manufacturer and been found to work, so maybe check the list before you purchase to have peace of mind that the kit you are looking to buy will work with your set up.

2.0 out of 5 stars Maybe just bad luck, but i had 2 bad sets

MSI B450 tomahawk gaming
Ryzen 3600

I purchased the first set of 3600MHz which worked fine for a few days, then my mobo would not post with CPU error indicator on. Removing one at a time, it turned out one of the sticks was causing the problem. So i sent them back to amazon for a replacement.

Installed new set in, got into windows but games kept crashing and i was getting a blue screen about irql something. Googling the error pointed at a memory issue so i loaded up memtest86 on a USB and it was all red. Tried 1 stick at a time, same thing.

I figured there's no way 2 different sets of RAM can be bad, so i suspected a mobo/CPU issue, i took some ram from a friend's PC (2666 same brand). No problems at all. I tried the good stick from the previous set, all good. So.. out of 4 sticks of RAM, 3 were bad.

After calling corsair support to make sure i'm not somehow doing something wrong, they validated my config and based on the memtest results, they said the sticks are defective.

So.. i now have to get *another* replacement from Amazon. Hoping they accept it.

I've been buying corsair ram for a few years now, this is the first time i had this many issues with it. Not sure what to say.. i'm seriously considering going for another brand.
