Huge hit!
My daughter has a few smaller sets of scribble scrubbies and we got this set because of the creatures and large marker collection.
She loves colouring and then washing them.
They never quite get back to the shiny white they are right off the bat, but she gets them pretty close on her own. (But she’s loves washing them more than she loves colouring them so they get a good scrub).
The one frustrating thing is that once they are wet they need to dry completely (only an hour or 2) before the marker will work again.
I don’t think there’s any way around this because markers on wet material just don’t mix, and if you want the water to wash the marker off then the water would also dilute the marker while colouring.
Side note. The box is not pretty on the outside if you wanted to gift it. It’s a standard brown box with shipping labels directly on the box. As this was a gift for my own child and I’m a fan of minimal packaging (less stuff to contribute to landfill) this was actually more of a positive for me than a negative, but if you were hoping to give as a gift outside your household it might matter.

This is the largest scribble scrubbies set I have seen to date and my daughter is flipping over it. It comes with 8 animals to colour, a bathtub, a dozen markers, and a couple of brushes. I like that the box unfolds and turns into a wipe-off play mat. The scribble scrubbies don’t always come clean as easily as I would like, sometimes I have to use dish soap to get the marker off. The animals tend to look a bit dingy over time. That being said, my daughter doesn’t care. Some of the scribble scrubbies we own are a few years old and they’re still going strong. The wash off play mat adds an extra element to the activity set since it can also be coloured using the markers. The only qualm I have about this set is that the outside of the box is really plain. I it is being given as a gift, it looks rather unappealing. I wish the box were colourful or somehow reflected what’s inside with a sticker or something. It just doesn’t catch the eye of my kids right away. Overall, I think this set is the best value available. It is a lot of fun to colour and clean the animals and its a huge hit with all of my children.

My kids love these Scribble Scrubbies so this is our second set. You can buy smaller packs but this set is great because it comes with everything you need: 8 pets (4 Safari Animals and 4 Peculiar Pets), 1 Safari Tub, 12 Washable Markers, 2 Brushes, and 1 Spray Oasis that has a cute little slide. My daughter likes colouring them but she loves putting them in the water and getting the colours to disappear the most. She also loves putting them down the slide and we occasionally take them in the bath too.

One thing to note is that the markers stain the pets if they are left on for an extended period of time. I find that the blue, purple and pink are the worst for this. If you want to avoid staining, just make sure to bath the pets shortly after drawing on them. You can also use a tiny bit of dish soap for the more stubborn stains.

The only complaint I have is that the “playmat” is printed on the the inside of the cardboard box so it doesn’t look very nice. It is very plain and has the shipping barcodes stuck right on top so it isn’t great for gifting purposes. Also it’s easy to get the cardboard wet with all the spraying and scrubbing that goes on. Wet cardboard smells and it makes it weaker so it can rip or crinkle up. I don’t see it lasting very long and would have preferred a flat, more durable mat instead.

Overall, I am really impressed with this unique toy! It’s fun, keeps kids busy and entertained and appeals to many different ages. Highly recommend!

When I saw the Scribble Scrubbies existed, I knew at that moment that I was not alone in having a kid that seemed to love to draw on all of her little toys with markers. I knew right away she would like these and while I still don't "get it" I was right and I'm at least glad that it's a focused activity with her drawing on things that are supposed to be drawn on and where part of the activity is to clean up afterwards. I've found if you enforce the rinsing off they clean up nicely, but if one of them doesn't get cleaned right away it sort of stains a bit and is much more difficult to get pristine again.

The concept is fun, but I can't understand the pricing of this set. You get a lot of figures, but individually there isn't anything particularly special about any of them. My daughters favourite part is the little oasis where they get their bath but she hasn't cared much about the "box" play mat and honestly this is the part that I don't like much myself either.

The packaging is ugly, no doubt about it. I'm completely on board with less wasteful packaging for most things but a heavily packing taped up plain brown box is not something any kid is going to be hyped up about receiving as a gift and at the end of the day this kind of toy is probably going to be a gift of some sort 9 times out of 10. I don't feel like the box/play scene are going to last in the long run, but maybe that's okay? Still, I have to say it's a negative at the end of the day.
