I laughed when I unpacked these flippers. Really? They require neoprene booties and they still fit loosely and my toes extended over the foot part. I returned these little stubbies and went to Hawaii with neoprene booties, nice goggles, and a snorkel and rented real flippers on site. Once I went in without flippers and that worked well too. I saw nobody wear "travel" flippers. My advice, buy neoprene booties and either rent normal size flippers on-site (cheep) or snorkel without flippers if you are in a sheltered cove.
I took these fins with me along with another brand to the Bahamas to try out. Unfortunately they were really hard to put on and take off my foot when at the beach or the pool. Maybe I needed a larger size but then they may not have stayed on. When I had them on they worked well but getting them on and off was the problem. I ended up giving them to grandson to use and using the other brand.
bought these for the GF because she was pretty scared of swimming despite being a pretty good swimmer. If anything, these were well worth the price as they helped her confidence. It just also turns out that they work very well. While snorkeling this summer, she can swim faster than me with these small fins when I am wearing my $250 SCUBA split fins.
