**Typical I/O performance numbers as measured using CrystalDiskMark with write cache enabled, a queue depth of 64 (QD = 8, Threads = 8). Fresh out-of-box (FOB) state is assumed. For performance measurement purposes, the SSD may be restored to FOB state using the secure erase command. System variations will affect measured results.

I purchased the drive to install large games and reduce load times and it works great. The drive installed very easily and has worked flawlessly for the past couple of months. I just checked and they are $30 cheaper today than when I bought mine in July (ouch).
-Faster than a SATA drive
-Only worked for about 4 days before it randomly started not showing in BIOS and Windows, reboots occasionally brought it back for the first day or two of failures, after that you couldn't read/write from it anymore even if it did show in Windows.
Recommend spending the extra $50 and getting something like an Adata XPG SX8200 Pro, double the speed and much more reliable.
The speeds are only a teeny bit faster than sata drives so don't believe the claim of 2000mb/s and all that, expect normal (sata) speeds and you won't be disappointed.
So basically, it's an nvme version of your typical sata drives out atm, it does the job.
Installed in an older PC using a PCIe card, was instantly recognized by Windows.
I still needed a small SATA SSD to boot due to the age of the computer - if you are an upgrader you may need to do this.
Returned the first one and bought a 2nd one, which worked fabulously. Counldn't be happier with the SSD
I plugged it into my motherboard (Asus Hero X Maximus), booted into OS, went to disc management and got the prompt to initialise the newly found drive. Quickformat. Done.
1TB of really fast storage. Couldn't be happier.

UPDATE: Performance has disappeared after around 2 months of usage (please see crystaldiskmark screenshots). I have no idea why but I have tried reformatting, reseating etc to no avail. Buy with caution
Ordered this M2 SSD and voila, my windows bootup has reduced from 2 min average to a lighting fast 10-12 seconds. Opening the apps takes barely a few seconds and now while rendering I can still do work with other demanding graphics apps. Hell, I'm even able to render simultaneously on after effects and Premiere pro.... Processor and RAM are utilized to the fullest near 100%, which never happened before.
I had a 1TB HDD with 400 GB with OS partition. I used Macrium Reflect software to configure and clone my OS onto the SSD. It's better and faster than the Acronis software of Crucial. Took about 1.5 hours for the cloning of OS. Had to reconfigure the Windows Boot Loader and that's it.
I was a little worried with the no replacement option of this product but then the price point was extremely attractive (almost half) compared to the one's that had a 10 day replacement option. So I decided to take a chance and prepared myself that incase I had a faulty piece would have to claim it under warranty. What was comforting was the wide network of Crucials service centers across the country.
It's been a month now, and the SSD is working like a charm. My productivity has almost doubled and downtime totally vanished. Would definitely recommend this as a must upgrade in your laptop.
Keep in mind this is a PCIe type SSD and not SATA type. So the speeds are tremendously higher as compared to SATA SSDs. Definitely spend an extra few minutes figuring out what connection port your laptop or motherboard has (SATA or PCIe) for SSD before ordering.

Tuve que dejar apagado un rato el portátil un rato para que volviera a reconocerlo. Miro en el registro de Windows y veo que el pantallazo azul fue debido a sectores defectuosos... Así que solicito reemplazó por otro igual. Pensé mala suerte me tocó .
In part for reasons that are inherent to the drive and are not quality issues.
The drive is fast; I installed this as a boot drive and keep my working files on the drive. My machine boots fast and is responsive in use. Applications load fast, so much faster than my previous hard drives.
Copying big files can be pretty slow, that's files over 30-40 GB, but that is not an everyday activity for me. Also, the drive is not as fast as more expensive ones. That's why I have marked it down, but, to be fair, that's about the drive's design and type. I'd happily buy another one as a boot drive. I'd not recommend it if you use big Zip files or video files. I am not a gamer, but I'd guess that copying some games might be a tad slow too.
So, 4 out of 5 might seem poor in a world where five is OK, and everything else is a fail. That's not a world I want to live in, and so 4 out of 5 is very bloody good, and a sound recommendation with the caveats noted above.
