  1. Some of the storage capacity is used for formatting and other purposes and is not available for data storage. 1GB equals 1 billion bytes. Not all capacities available at initial launch.
  2. Typical I/O performance numbers as measured using CrystalDiskMark with a queue depth of 32 and write cache enabled. Fresh out-of-box (FOB) state is assumed. For performance measurement purposes, the SSD may be restored to FOB state using the secure erase command. System variations will affect measured results.

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathed new life into old laptop
By sehnsucht88 on 8 October 2020
Got this to try breathe some new life Into my grandads laptop which is a 2012 Samsung NP350 (Sata 3 I think)

We went for the 120gb version as he only uses it for general web use and email etc so the extra storage was needed.

Has made a huge improvement. Cold boot up time has gone from 1 minute 19 seconds to only 7 seconds, web browser and general applications open virtually instantly.
Well worth it for an older laptop and he is very happy and it genuinely surprised me too.

Thank you

5.0 out of 5 stars Overall great SSD.
By Heshyy on 2 April 2021
Crucial SSD's are really good SSD's in my opinion. Great price for a 1TB SSD, it's fast and it's easy to install. I've bought this SSD because my main Crucial P1 M.2 SSD was only 500GB and I played a lot of games so space was running low. Saw this one for a good price and decided to purchase it. No regrets, it's been really good.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome SSD
Reviewed in India on 23 March 2019
it's a really good SSD. Crucial is one of the most reputable brand for SSDs and RAM. Reasonably priced, though bit disappointed as some people claiming it's available for ₹1600 at offline market in some places but the local shop guy here doesn't offer good prices so my only option was amazon. Makes me wonder whether they are avoiding tax by selling it this cheap.

Anyway, coming back to the topic. This SSD vastly improved my boot times, i don't see the blackscreen anymore which used to show for 5-7 seconds when windows is loading using an HDD. My speeds are not that great because i'm limited by SATA 2 interface on my cheap H61 board.

The SSD is really lightweight and sometimes would feel like there's nothing inside. Same was the case with my previous SSD which i return due to it having some fault causing my motherboard to malfunction. 40TBW is more than enough for normal users, i won't install any games because i want my SSD to long laster so i only have my OS and essential programs on it.

On first attempt, i tried to clone it but it failed in macrium reflect with error 0 so then i tried AOEMI backupper which did successfully cloned it but for some reason it wasn't booting of my SSD due to it not having C: drive letter so would had to unplug HDD and there were many other complications with it as well so finally ended up doing a clean install and it's working great.

But due to the hassle of cloning, resizing / moving, convert dynamic disk to basic one etc. costed me around 40GB of writes. So be aware of that unlike me if you are gonna upgrade to an SSD.
