Crucial Desktop Memory (DIMMs)
The fastest, easiest way to improve your desktop's performance
There's an easy cure for a slow computer: more memory. Designed to help your system run faster and smoother, Crucial Desktop Memory is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to improve your system's performance. Load programs faster. Increase responsiveness. Run data-intensive applications with ease, and increase your desktop's multitasking capabilities.
Micron quality - a higher level of reliability.
As a brand of Micron, one of the largest memory manufacturers in the world, Crucial Desktop Memory is the standard for reliable performance. From the original SDRAM technology all the way to DDR4, we've engineered the memory technologies that have powered the world's computers for 35 years and counting. Don't settle for anything less.
Make everything on your computer faster
Memory is a component in your computer that allows for short-term data access. Since your system's moment-to-moment operations rely on short-term data access — loading applications, browsing the Web or editing a spreadsheet — the speed and amount of memory in your system plays a critical role. Load apps in seconds by increasing the speed of your memory and installing more of it.
Multitask with ease
If you're like us, you use your computer to do lots of things at once. You might be editing a document, while also looking at pictures and browsing the internet. This naturally leads to a performance problem: every app you're running requires memory and competes for a limited pool of resources. Overcome this by installing high-density modules in each memory slot for seamless multitasking.
Install with ease — no computer skills required
With just a screwdriver, your owner's manual, and a few minutes of time, you can install memory — no computer skills necessary. Just watch one of our three minute install videos, and we'll walk you step-by-step through the process. Don't pay a computer shop to do something you can do in minutes.
Maximize the value of your system
At a fraction of the cost of a new system, a memory upgrade is one of the most affordable ways to increase performance. Get more out of your desktop by giving it the resources it needs to perform.

Perfect for a budget gaming pc.
Perfect for a high end gaming pc.
Perfect for an office pc.
Perfect for any pc that requires DDR4.
Don’t waste your money on “high end” brands because you’re paying for the name.
I say this because I previously bought hyperX ram for an older build and I cannot notice a difference between that ram and this crucial ram. Yet I paid 1/3 the price this time for 2x the amount.
THEN I noticed that it's actually UDIMM, and the crashes were caused by my inadvertant mixing of this RAM with a DIMM chip.
THEN I noticed that the picture on the item SHOWS that it's UDIMM - I'd missed that in October.
So, I now have a useless (to me) UDIMM chip, and a dispute with Amazon - it's clearly not my fault.
I ordered the 32GB kit which consisted of 2x16GB DDR4-2666 UDIMM sticks. They come in plastic packaging to keep them safe for transport. The packaging is able to be opened by hand which is a huge positive for me as quite often things like this come in plastic packaging which has no discernible opening and which must be opened by either knife or scissors through a layer of plastic then prised apart. Not so with this. Just insert your finger into the packaging and then open away. Excellent. The only improvement they could make to this would be for some more environmentally sound packaging.
The memory itself:
Please, please, please, check what RAM your motherboard and CPU supports before ordering it. If you do that, then I have no doubt that it will just work straight out of the box. Crucial does a great job of providing a compatibility checker on it's own website which I would highly recommend checking out before ordering any RAM.
This couldn't be more simpler. Locate the correct RAM slots on your motherboard (this is going to vary by motherboard supplier), pull on the tabs to open up the slots and then click in the RAM sticks into each slot. If you are installing 2 RAM sticks into 2 slots, this is fairly straight forward. If you have 4 slots like I did, then make sure you're populating the correct two slots - again, check the manual of your motherboard for details here. If you already had a RAM stick in any of the slots that you're using, take it out before installing any RAM. There is a correct orientation of the RAM stick, if you look at the bottom of the stick, you'll notice there is a notch in it, which is slightly off centre. Use this notch to line up the RAM stick into the RAM slot and press it in. It can feel quite firm, so don't be scared, it should just be able to press in with a click by firmly pressing down on both sides of the RAM stick.
If you want/need more RAM, this is a great, low cost option for adding some extra memory into your system. You'll notice a lot of improvement if you're coming from a lot less RAM (I went from 8GB to 32GB). The sorts of improvements you can expect are better performance of multi tasking which is absolutely essential for someone like me who has many processes running at the same time. Also, if you're a Chrome Tab lover, you can't get enough RAM.
