My two boys 6 & 5 love the "crayon" books and this one is no exception. We've read it many, many times over since we got it. If you love "the day the crayons quit" you'll fall in love with this one too.

Five-year-old loves it
Reviewed in India on 31 January 2019Verified Purchase
Someone gifted my five-year-old a book named "The Day the Crayons Quit" and he loved it. So, I decided to get him this second one - "The Day the Crayons Came Home", and he loved it even more! Totally a fun read for him and he's been reading it before his sleep time ever since he's got it. (It's already been over a week now, as I write this review)

Great bedtime story

My son has the prequel to this and it is his favourite book. This one follows on lovely and is a lot of fun for both the child and the adult reading it. He asks for it every night as a bedtime story. It’s a great entertaining and funny story

Already a firm favourite

Absolutely fabulous sequel to The day the crayons quit. Just as hilarious for myself reading the book as it is for the child. I personally bought the first book as a gift several times over and I can see myself doing the same for this one. The only thing that I'd say is that there is supposed to be a glow in the dark page but I can never seem to get it to glow no matter how long I leave it open for. However that isn't enough to deter me from buying this as a gift in the future.

Brilliant!

If you like to read to your children at night and put a bit character in to the characters then these Crayon books are great! I have the collection for my niece and she loves them. She asks for different voices for each crayon which is great. Honestly get them because you will be laughing all together.

Whitty humour

I had used the Day the Crayons Quit with my Year 2 class at school and they eagerly anticipated the sequel. They chuckled at the whit of the book and I chuckled at other parts that went over their heads. Would definitely recommend.
