Two stars as The build quality of the stand and the functionality looks great. But, I needed the monitor to do photo editing. I don't thing I've seen a monitor with worse back-light bleeding so far, not even on the very cheap ones at work.
Seriously Dell? This was a £500 + monitor when lunched !!!
The monitor is going back today and because Amazon didn't offer me a replacement option it will have to be a refund.
I can see from reviews that a lot of people are happy with this model, but for me, Dell is not an option anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard decision but I am really happy with my choice.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 June 2019
I am updating from dual monitors, 2 Benq 21.5" @ 1920x1080. My goal was larger screens to get more real estate and a higher resolution for improved picture quality. My issue was the width on the desk, anything over 25" would be too big and the larger single screens at 35" would provide less horizontal space, more vertical. I think more width is better than height.

I chose these in the end for a few reasons.

First the panel, monitors have three main types, TN, VA and IPS. As far as quality goes they are in that order. TN is more suited to gamers, VA is better than TN but not as good as IPS when it comes to depth of colour and viewing angles. Even though these monitors create a very wide set up when next to each other, the great viewing angles means I can see to the edges of the screens without any loss of quality that you would get more especially on TN panels, the depth of colour is amazing. So these are the higher end and it shows. The resolution on these monitors is 2560x1440, not the best but better than 1920x1080 and the difference is very obvious. I use both a PC and a Mac Mini so didn't want to go too high in case the Mac Mini struggled powering two of these but it is just fine.

In one of my images, you can see one of the new monitors next to the old one, the BBC website on the new monitor is open at the exact size that would fill the 21.5" monitor on the right, so you can see the gains in real estate.

The monitor supports Vesa 100x100, see my pics, some still persist in saying it does not have it. I have also shown a picture of my existing Vesa mount fitting perfectly. Once I have had a week with no issues I will mount them. Mounted on the wall with a flush mount they will only come out about 2.5". The stand is 8" deep, the monitor is set about 3" back from the front edge.

As I noted above, I use a PC and Mac Mini, images show both working, no issues at all. I am not a gamer per se however I do dabble a little in WoW, I have included an image of that, stunning quality compared to what I am used to although not sure that any of the images do it justice. It is absolutely fine for gaming, everything will work, it is only the seriously competitive gamers who need the fastest refresh rates and response times that will pass on this.

There have been reports of screen tearing in games, I have seen nothing after a few hours playing WoW, if there was I couldn't notice any.

On backlight bleed, there is some there when the screen is switched on, in my view not noticeable during normal use.

Only one monitor had a UK plug, the other an EU one, so be wary, standard kettle plug connection which you may have lying around.

These monitors are expensive, but if you want the best colour depth, a good resolution, tiny bezels and plenty of screen real estate then these are great in a dual monitor set up. Build quality appears absolutely fine, yes, there is a lot of plastic there are solid enough, not like you need to throw them around.

I honestly think I would have regretted going for a single 35" panel now that I have two of these. So if you are in the same position as I was before these arrived I hope it helps you somewhat.
