My Dad loves baking and so I thought this book would make a great gift. Comes with a whole bunch of how-to's as well as lots of ideas for future dessert options from simple and easy to exuberant and complex including both typical and uncommon choices to choose from.

Love the reading part of the book that shows how the author tested each method of basic baking techniques and examples which is best. For example, I now know the best temp for butter to be creamed with sugar to get the best texture.
