Some of the bars appeared to be factory seconds. They were normally wrapped and packaged but not all were full-size bars. Some were shaped more like a right triangle than a rectangle where one corner was missing. Some bars were visually defective where the imprinted word Dial was distorted or misshaped. Some bars had both nonconformities. The performance of the soap was acceptable. However, the bars that were not full size obviously did not last as long. I really wouldn't have a problem using factory seconds but it should be made known to the potential buyer and sold at a discount.
Dried my skin terribly and caused allergic reaction. I bought this for the great bargain. I use other brand soap which becomes too expensive when I stock. But I use this exact soap at a relatives home and never experience such issues. Ingredients change going on possibly. I had to give all my soap away. If not, I will itch and red sensitive spots appear...leading to rough nights.
Soap looked like it had been run through a cycle in the dryer when I took it out of the wrapper. It was dented and scratched and mushed. For me the smell was also horrible and super strong. I bought this for crafting so the damage made it unusable. It has huge letters of "DIAL" carved deeply into the top which is also a problem for using it for crafts. Good price and fine if you are using it for its normal purpose.
I tried both : the gold and white. I don't like the white one .it's not the same effect like the gold . My skin became dry and my nail always broke 😭😭😭 . I hate that . I will go back to the gold one ,it's the best.
I've used Dial Gold for many years. When this item came up I decided to give it a try. Maybe it works for other people, but for me it's not really deodorant soap. I'll keep the unused bars for hand soap, but I'll be going back to Gold.
I tried to use it for bath, and it dries my skin out and makes it itching. So only able to use it for hand washing. I do not know what I am going to do with it because I bought 24 soaps. It can last for my whole life.
Be cautious with the purchase quantities. Website photo shows 1 pack of bar soap, 6 bars per pack. The purchase description states "pack of 12" for $36.09 (6 bars per pack x 12 packs = 72 bars). What I received is "2" packs of soap for a total of 12 bars. Asinine! I love the mountain fresh soap but, not enough to pay $3 per bar.
