At least that was my experience of it.
It's a good read! I've lost both my parents by the time I was 25 so grief is very present in my life and is a focal point for me. I feel like if someone hasn't been through some kind of trauma or grief, they may not get as much out of this book as I personally did. But there are still a lot of good one quotes, transferrable advice and her chapter on finances is helpful and important for people to read.👌
I've seen others say a handful of her stories and advice within this book are the same as we've heard from coaching, GWYF, GSA and Rise events. But it was those very stories and that same advice that got me through my own very hard, dark season of life after I had lost my mother. I can totally understand why you'd be finding those written within the pages of this book. Those very things changed the trajectory of my grief journey in the early days for the better.
Overall it was a good read. I'm a grief nerd, given my life experiences, so I truly enjoyed it and felt it spoke to me various times over the course of the book. It was great to see her put words to what felt like my experiences and feelings into well articulated statements. Sometimes I don't know how or what to say and she did just that. I will for sure be recommending this book/purchasing this book for some people in my life whom I feel are struggling with their own traumas and griefs and need to hear what she has to say.
