I bought this specifically for a bike packing trip and used one as a base for my tent for 3 days camping in freezing cold temps and rain. It served well to keep the ground water from seeping onto the tent and kept me warmer inside the tent than without any ground cover. The extremely thin Mylar was durable enough to last 3 nights AND be folded up with my tent but finally ripped the last night. If I were to go out again, I would bring 2, one for ground cover and the other to wrap around myself. The temps dropped colder than I anticipated one night and I would’ve been warm using one as an actual blanket!
These things kick a$$ for the money. Used them to wrap coolers while camping to conserve ice and a 20lb block still had 10lbs of ice left after 4 days! Hope I never need them to stay warm but if I do I trust theyll be up to the task
I have not used them yet but took them out and they look well made and I love the pouch they come in. They look much better than the cheap silver emergency blankets I have in my emergency pack and I will be swapping them for these.
I liked the fact that there was different colors and along with that the emergency blanket is of good quality. For the price everyone should have these emergency blankets scattered around their home and vehicles just in case! I would recommend this product to all!
A good thing to have if the weather changes and you have "miles to go before you rest". Light and easy to carry. Lots of things you can do with them, like a lean-to, cover for you, etc. They can save you life by preventing hypothermia. Why would you not carry them? Great to have to wrap around you after a marathon or ultra long distance race.
These are unbelievably warm, buddy and I went camping, I ordered one for each of us, all we had was cheap Walmart sleeping bags and it ended up snowing that night, using a simple tarp shelter to block wind we stayed warm all night.tough and durable. Hard to tear or pull apart.
