We love that The Don't Die In The Woods - Freakin’ Huge Emergency Blankets [4-Pack] Extra-Large Thermal Mylar Space Blankets with Ripstop Nylon Stuff Sacks + Carabiner Zipper Pack came in a large pouch with a carabiner and in individual pouches as well. They are super light ... adding no weight to your backpack. One blanket went into each car just in case for emergencies. The other two were in our hiking backpacks. The Don't Die in the Woods website has a ton of useful information and ways to use your emergency blankets and other products. Bonus: have a question, their customer service is top notch! Luckily we have not had to use them.
Hiked Grand Canyon just 3 days ago climbed out at 10.44 pm and Luckily bathroom was unlocked took shelter there unpacked these blankets wraped ourselves and warmed up quick ! Honestly į bought them because hikers suggested to Have them and not need them but omg with temps 28 outside we so needed them. Package is very small and looks like one blanket is inside but its 4 super easy to take with you ! Į will buy this Product again and į will recommend to my friends it truly helped us to warm up before walking another 2 miles to the car . Thank you
Well with such a catchy name as "Dont Die in the Woods", who can pass up these products!?!? Not I. The name just made me chuckle and I had to buy a couple of products just to check them out and to also reward the person who thought up this name for their stuff!! I mean seriously, a person can buy these products /gear / emergency gear, from just about any where but with a point blank company name like this, you just gotta buy it!! I like the compact packaging, it's cool looking and practical and will not take up too much space in my pack. I purchased the 4 pack of emergency mylar blankets and also the mylar sleeping bag. It is nice to have these things on hand if I ever need them, one less worry.
When you put your hand in the bag, it immediately radiates heat. And it easily folds up again pretty small, yet is big enough to cut into two. I use them when I'm going to have to sit outside & buy them to hand out to the unhoused, which has been very rewarding.
On a 20 degree night, some sleeping rough here had no blankets or even gloves. Their fingers were so frozen, I had to unfold the blanket for them, but then, they felt so much better, as it immediately covered & warmed even a large man. And in the morning, the blanket can be folded up into a pocket for easy travel. Next winter, I will buy more to distribute.
I am a prepper, so when my grandson wanted me to teach him, I added these to his gear, along with an emergency shelter, and survival equipment. Staying warm and dry can definitely safe your life in the outdoors. Learn how to use tools, and how to be smart and capable in the outdoors because your life might depend on it.
If you have a car and live somewhere temps get "cold" - you need to order these. They are very small and will fit right in your glove box. I put them in my kids vehicles (piece of mind), and in mine.... and will order more to stash in other loved ones vehicles.
These are basic emergency blankets. They're very thin - which is good because they're lightweight and small. This is a pack of four. Each one individually is about the size of an egg roll after two bites have been eaten. So, it's small enough to throw in your bug-out bag and you'll never notice the extra size or weight.
But don't expect much. They sort of feel like Christmas wrapping paper that won't tear easily. Worth having on hand. But not on my list of essentials.
These were purchased as stocking stuffers for the kids, they do not treat them tenderly. They are well liked and well used by the kids. Kind of a novelty to them, but now they are carrying them in their book bags.
