Pros : price point, looks nice, easy to use, can use USB hard drive for movies, very portable, picture quality would be fine for kids watching cartoon type movies on a white wall / sheet in the yard.
Cons : Very limited adjustments for the screen, we could only have a small area in the centre of the screen in focus with very blurred edges- can’t be focused in centre and be able to read subtitles , vignette to edges is also annoying,
The fan is a bit loud but once you connect to a speaker and start watching you won't even notice it. :)
The package came in a safe package without any issues. Shipped just on time with no delays.
Gone are the days when projectors cost $1000+
At only $160, you can get this bad boy, and it will absolutely transform your living room. Not only is the projector small in size, high in quality, and cheap in price, its performance will blow you away.
It can literally create a 150 inch crystal clear image in your lounge room.
For best performance, hook your laptop/console up to a surround sound speaker (the built-in speakers aren't great) and then enjoy the movie/game!
If you're acquainted with other big name projectors (Benq/Epson etc.) even the budget ones.. the colours/focus on corners etc. is just not comparable. Too much con's and niggles I couldn't put up with, ended up returning and getting a second hand proper projector.

I purchased this for home use. The holidays are coming and we’ll be getting a lot of families visiting. Having a video projector for entertainment is a good way of spending time together with visiting families. I opted for the 720p variant because we do have a 720p projector also in the office, and picture quality is still outstanding for media consumption. So, to save a little money, I chose the cheaper one.
At first I was worried the product getting damaged in transit, as these items have fragile lens and lamps. Upon unboxing (watch video to see), I saw that the packaging was very well thought off for the safety of the product. This projector is surprisingly light and small. It is small enough to carry inside a messenger bag. For my setup, I was planning on using a Google Chromecast or Roku stick with this projector, so having a USB port that can be used as power source is great. The headphone jack is excellent so that you can connect it to a external speaker. There is a screw hole underneath for the tilt adjuster that can be used to mount onto a tripod (see video), and having the ability to mount this on a tripod adds more versatility for outdoor use. Setup was quick and easy, I got it hooked up with my laptop and watching 4K videos in no time. Although this projector is only 720p, the 4K video playing from my laptop looks very sharp.
On other thoughts, I was worried about the lamp failing earlier than expected, so I contacted the seller regarding the lamp replacements. They don’t sell the lamps, but it can purchased from third party sellers. The lamp has a part number when you open the projector, and it is just soldered (that can easily be removed and resoldered) by 4 wires, I won’t recommend anybody replacing this on their own if they don’t have experience soldering wires.
I am very much pleased with my purchase. There are very expensive projectors out there, but the cost to benefits ratio just isn’t justifiable enough to spend too much money in my opinion. This projector is just right for my budget. I highly recommend this product.
To be clear this is not a home theater grade projector, it is really just for projecting something on the wall, or watching a movie in the backyard, turning a sheet into a screen. I really like how loud the internal speaker is and the 5v USB port for the fire stick. The picture is very sharp and I really don't have abad thing to say about it. Buy it haha its fun to play Mario car on a 10ft screen in your yard at 1AM with some friends sitting around a fire.
This is not to say this is a perfect product by any stretch, however, it does perform better than I anticipated. Initially, I found this projector to produce a very bright image and it seemed quite punchy... a little too punchy. While I was watching, I noticed that Reds were completely blown out to the point that detail was non-existent and faces looked sun burned. Then I began to notice the digital noise all over the image in Reds and Yellows. It became apparent that the color filtering was pushing the Saturation well above where it should be. When I changed the Aspect mode to Pixel-to-Pixel, it disabled the video processing and while much more detailed, lost a lot of color. By switching back to Automatic for the Aspect Mode and using some video test patterns, I was able to dial back color (down 25 points from the default center) which got rid of the noise, looked much more natural and detail returned. As this happened, the overall brightness did dip quite a bit, but it is still a functional picture at sunset light levels and easy to see after the sun sets.
The contrast ratio can be nowhere near the claimed amount as I assume that the measurement is taken in full brightness mode with color turned all the way to max, but it is still serviceable, though it is largely a milky gray as opposed to black. Price per value however, this can hardly be much of a complaint as I've seen televisions and projectors well above this price range produce a similar image.
The build quality seems good and it is weighty and the plastic seems thicker and more sturdy than what is usually included. It has a tri-pod connector at the bottom and is light enough that nearly any tri-pod will comfortably hold it.
Th only gripe I have in construction is that the remote IR sensor is on the back panel of the device. This makes it a bit cumbersome when watching a movie when the projector is behind you, but hardly a deal breaker. In future models, I would recommend a front facing IR receiver as well (especially if this is used for presentations, where the presenter will most likely be in front of the unit.)
The fan sound level is low and easily masked by even moderate volumes. We find that outside, it is almost unnoticeable, but was a little louder when tried indoors.
So, if you need a functional projector with acceptable video that doesn't break the bank. I can easily recommend this unit.
